rain
With all the rain are you guys getting any hunting in? I never liked hunting in the muddy ground, the mud wound cover the find and make it so much harder to locate. That was one reason I liked and used a pinpointer.

Yes, the rain kept me away from hunting. We really got hit hard here for something like 8 days in a row. Last weekend was nice and I went out hunting on Saturday. No good finds but it was great to be out on the beach.

I first started hunting on the beach, and you are so right just being at the shore, and for my part, in bad weather is the best. The angry sea is beautiful. I later met a guy named Tom McDonald. He convinced me to try old farm field hunting. The very first day out I found my first couple of British Coppers and was hooked.
