How are you doing?

Sometimes we feel the need of a space to talk about things that come up, things that are on our mind or just for the sake of communicating with others but nobody asks about your day or there isn't an appropiate time for talking about it.

Make this space your space. Ramble, vent, yell, curse or laugh. There is always someone who wants to share your day with you!

So, girls, how is it going so far? emoticon

How are you mad at him? What did he do? emoticon

You must have an awesome bookshelf going on at home, books of all kinds!

Today I have two exams, my frist exam at school and my italian final. And I don't feel like studying in the least bit! So I foresee a long talk with myself...

There is something that has been on my mind since yesterday. I don't know if it reached international news but here received a big coverage, on tuesday 4 bodies were found with a bullet on the back of their heads each, 3 were minors and the other one was an older man. Yesterday it was confirmed that they were the siblings Faddoul, sons of a very rich libanese man, the 3 of them were kidnapped when their chauffer drove them to school on February 23 morning and a police road station made them pull over. After that they leaved without a trace...

They were tortured for over a month, held hostages without undertsanding what was going on or why. The worst part is that cops and funtionaries of the goverment are involved in this horrid crime. The ones who should be defending us are the ones inflicting the harrasment. And to top it off there are journals publishing photos of the bodies, that set me off completely! Moments like this disappoint me, being a journalism student I sure expect better from them than to merchandise with such painful moment.

They were the 3 only childs of the couple, the Faddoul family lost their children and one of their most trusted employees. They were killed in cold blood friday march 31th and dumped carelessly in the middle of a hill of dirt on a little town around two or three hours away from the capital, where they were taken away.

Everybody is really touched by this sad incident, the country is mourning after they lose. I only wish now they rest in peace and, hopefully, that this will cause some changes for the better because the country will be in shambles as long as it remains in the hands of the criminals.

Things like that make me sad for the world. emoticon

Today is cloudy and rainy here but it is somehow peaceful and I think helped me get the next chapter of my one story right.
I'm going soon to take a ride throught the park to the bagel/muffim shop. The blossoms look lovely in the rain. emoticon

I will be alone all day at least till midnight. But I rented Evita and Girl With a Pearl Earing (read the book recently) to watch. emoticon

I watched Girl with a Pearl Earing movie, is not like the films you are used to see... the rhythm is slow, I guess is that but makes it sublime at the same time. The beauty of the movie is rare that is why to many it would be hard to appreciate.
That movie made me love Colin Firth, I saw him under other light. And Cillian Murphy is eye candy (if you can ignore he is always dirty in the movie).

Concerning the Bible I hadn't seen it that way and it makes sense. Though, in the Bible they use old terms in the talk. I highly recomend you, if you decide to get in deep with the Spanish, to enrol in a course because the Spanish grammar is hard to grasp at first. Once you get the hang of it, like everything, the rest is easier.
But above all, don't give up, keep trying till you tackle it. That's the only way around languages, the process is always frustrating.

I kind of envy you. In my city we have summer throught the year, visible consecuence of our proximity to the Line of the Ecuator. Our climate is hot and most of the days are sunny, when the rain period starts (it must be around the corner, usually around march-may) the climate changes to humid and cloudy, but there is always sun.
Of course, I don't like this weather. I love the cold! I wish to get to see some snow next Christmas (Milan has LOTS of it!)

Today is the birthday of a close friend, we are going clubing at her request, despite I'm not so much into the party mood, but hey, she would had my head if I bail out and I really need to get out.
I also have college this afternoon. That would be my day! emoticon

I have had - long ago about 5 years of French (though you wouldn't know by how much I have retained but still recognise much of it written). I'd like to brush up on that too. I can see the similarity to the Spanish. Maybe sometime I will take a class but don't have money to right now. There are tapes I can get at the library. I've always found languages facinating. Also know a few words/pharses in Italian and German and some in Spanish.

So do I, my goal is to speak at least 5 languages ten years from now... I have two and a half emoticon I took lessons on German, I found it similar to English but harder.
If you ask me, I believe an assian or arabic dialect must be Einstein-hard. I'd have to try, though.

You know, I went to college and my teacher never showed up so I leaved early and went to my friend's house, some friends were there and we sang the happy birthday, etc. I also went to the club and it was Ok, there wasn't too much people but I swear the half plus a quarter of the people there was smoking and somebody burnt me while I was dancing emoticon how sad is that? lol

Someone at a club once burned a hole in my favorite tights and the sleve of my favorite outfit. I was anoyed. If you are going to smoke at least be carefull!

Mellow and strange tonight. Been inspired to a lot of writting today. Thinking/getting ideas faster than I can put them down, plus having to leave the computer at times to let hubby on it and broke my concentration.
Went to a party with some of his friends for a little while. It's an odd crowd but a couple of them are OK. I'm going to e-mail the one lady to come here and the OBC, but told her it is my secret life here. Don't know if she'll come.

Wow, inviting her must have been scary/thrilling experience, I bet.
It might be your secret spot here but it's part of who you are and there is nothing to be ashamed of because you are a terrific person, especially on the secret side emoticon
but you already knew that!

Haha well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been victim of a flamed bum, there must be many of us out there seeing the considerable amount of smokers it must be a frequent in that kind of places.

I have had those inspiring evenings, when all the ideas pass before your eyes and you can barely hold them all in. If you squeeze to hard you find that they are made of air... and poof!
It's a great moment to go through, so I'm rooting for you. You'll tackle it! emoticon

I told you my dad is into the seafood business, right? This week is the major week and people here has traditionally for religious beliefs (for catholics is a sin to eat meat this week, specifically in the holy days, because it's symbolic of Christ's body) so the business gets a overhelming activity throught the week. Usually my dad looks forward to this week right from the start of the year, making preparations since then.
I'll be helping the out, no beach for me emoticon

I'm doing good. Getting a lot of work done on Ignorance Is Bliss. Finished a rough draft for what will probably be Ch. 17 or 18 and felt really good afterwards. Kind of drained but in a good way.

And I was happy for that as I just read my first slash fan fic earlier and, am sullied forever from it. lol.
Had to look at some lovely pics of Orlando to get my mind off it.
