Worst Migraine Ever

I woke up last night/this AM about 4:00am with what was quite possibly the worst migraine I ever had. It certainly is up among the top few. Not a good distinction. I had the head crushing pain cold sweats, nausea vomiting and, dizziness/faintness. I felt so bad I didn’t know what to do.

I couldn’t even read the instructions on the new meds the neurologist gave me recently- they are a nasal spray. I also decide I needed a cool bath ASAP. I woke up hobbies about 4; 30 am. I got in the bath while I had him read the instructions for the meds. It still took me another hour and bout of laying on the floor throwing up and crying, to manage to use them. By about 7:ooam I managed to doze a bit and hubbie offered to stay home from work and I actually needed to take him up on the offer as I had even been afraid I was going to have to have him take me to the hospital a couple hours earlier.

It was really awful and I was afraid I was going to pass out a couple times. He called the GP as soon as they opened and took me for an appointment at 11:00 (the neurologist is too far away).
The doc gave me a prescription for an injectable med next time I get one that bad which I hope isn’t anytime soon. I’m still having the post migraine grogginess and fatigue and general ickyness. It kind of kept me from a few things I was trying to catch up with today.

It’s been really hot an humid here, we are having a heat emergency warning and this sort of weather tends to make me get the migraine and worse. I just pray it doesn’t come back tomorrow like they some times do. Hubbie was quite good about it and I think it freaked him out a bit.

Oh HONEY.....I am so very sorry you had such a bad one! I suffer them too....
Did you get the injectable Imitrex? That's the one I have.....as well as Maxalt, Imitrex tablets and Midren.
I use different ones depending on what I think caused them.
I hope you NEVER suffer another like that..
