Deni, I don't know what to say after reading this. I wish I could say something that would help you feel better, but all I can do is be myself and hope you know that I care.

I can tell this came from a very dark place, having been there once or twice myself (haven't we all?) It pains me to know this is how you are feeling right now, and I wish to God there was more I could do or say.


Know that I appreciate you sharing this with us. I'm sure you have touched all of us with this. Thanks for sharing yourself with us, and I HOPE that we (in some small way) help you to cope. emoticon

You are ever like the sky to me
Ever changing in it’s mood
Ever out of reach
Ever beautiful
Glorious with the radiant sun
Dark with a storm
Brilliant with sunrise
Colorful with sunset
Gentle as a cloud, on a blue day
Brooding as gray ones in the rain
Seductive as twilight
Soft as dawn
Magnificent as it is strewn with stars at night
You are ever like the sky to me

        Like a tear

A memory
        Encapsulated

On a day of gray

The heavens

This is pure talent, hun. I am not joking when I say you need to get published. I know it's a goal of yours, so just know that I think you have what it takes.

The second one stuck out for me, for whatever reason. I loved these lines:

I didn't say (and maybe it is a tease to but - A Drop of Rain - is for a Viggo fic I've been making notes on for a couple months.)

And I think the one about the sky is destined to become a personal favorite of mine. I wrote it on one of those beautiful sunset nights. Thinking it out as I waled along and writting it down as soon as I got in my car (it would have been gone otherwise - poetry is like that for me - all or nothing.)

This, once again, was lovely. I've noticed something about your poetry: you are able to take simple subjects like flowers or a sunset, and capture the fantastic beauty in it. You are also able to make your thoughts so vivid and real for the reader. You are very talented, girl.
