 The Dark Poetry of Lady LaRouge....**New on Sept 16 - top page 2 **
Can't always explain what inspires this and I hesitate a lot to share it so here is the darkest on a seperate thread so if you don't want to read it it can be avoided. Dark enotions inspire me a lot my own, those of others, friends or somting I may read or see. Inspiration is strange sometimes. Still don't know how many of these I'll share but a couple of you seemed interested in reading. A lot of times I don't even type them. (One just a little dark I have shared on my regualar thread)

Half A Step Away (From Hell) 1/2/07
I’m half a step away from hell
It’s not too far
I hear the bell
It’s death knell sounds
I hear it well
I’m half a step away from hell
I’m half a step away from hell
I’m slipping down
Not doing well
Is it to late?
I cannot tell
I’m half a step away from hell
I’m half a step away from hell
I have more fears
Than I can quell
My soul gives out
It’s final yell
I’m half a step away from hell

There is no more I’ve lost my will
Surrender hope
And all is still
I’m half a step away from hell
And one last breath and
Then I fell

I'll say about this first it was inspired by and anti - Valentines day thread on another board and
by a particular comment an aquentiance made on it - and they are ok - so no worries)

Tonight
When others are out as couples
Happy
Smiling
Dripping with sappy romance
I have a date with a razor blade
Dripping blood
Instead

Hey Cec - thanks for being brave enought to read the inspirations from the dark side
(hummm ...maybe that's what I should have called this thread)..
Yes when I said they were dark I ment it and they can be disturbing so you can see my hesitation to share. I'll likely share more at some point I'll see how other peopel react if they read I don't want to post too may if they freak people. I don't think I have a lot that are this dark anyway.

Wow.
I can totally understand your reservations about posting these.
Are they dark? Yes. Are they disturbing? A little.
But to be honest, I was in my own dark place for awhile. There was a time when I was so depressed and reading these poems make me realize that these feelings are normal. I'm sure everyone has had their 'dark moments.'
Still, Ceci's right. These are absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
When I read Half a Step, I thought I was reading Poe! LOL

That part really struck a chord with me. I think because it encompasses the emotion in the times you just want to give up EVERYTHING. That was so powerful- the soul giving out it's final yell. It's so stark and it's SUCH a great image.
All three of these were great! I especially like the concrete poem, but Half a Step is my favorite.
And yes! If you have more, I would love to read them as well.

Thanks Poppy - I must admit your comments made my eyes a bit teary. I'm glad you like my tallent.
A lot of times dark things come out in my poetry and yeah most of us have these feelings a some times or another and they are not often talked about.. Glad that you can relate to the way I express it. I know this side of my poetry may not be for everyone.
