Marilyn Monroe Wasn't sure where else to put this, but I wanted to post some of my favourite Marilyn pictures. They're artsy (at least I think so) and so thought I'd post them under this section.
Let me start by saying how much I love Marilyn. I feel that she was such a sad soul underneath all that beauty, and that's what ultimately led to her death. So much beauty, and yet so much sorrow underneath.
Anyway, forgive me if I post random stuff here about her. I will start off with this quote that I love of her and that I think captures a lot of how she felt about herself:
"Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you a thousand dollars for a kiss and fifty cents for your soul". ~ Marilyn Monroe
Now, for some of my favourite pictures of her...
This is the one Orlando was referring to in "One Night", when he said Teresa reminded him of Marilyn Monroe (with the way she was sitting)...
I have this poster up on my wall. The expression in her eyes is one of sadness...
And I love this one b/c she just looks so real and natural, yet stunning...
Re: Marilyn Monroe Oh I love Marilyn!!! I think she was so beautiful!! I also love that she wasnt stick thin. You dont see that in Hollywood anymore. Her life story makes me sad though. Hers and Elvis. Whenever I watch anything about him I cry. Well anyways, those are lovely pic of her. She was so stunningly beautiful!
Re: Marilyn Monroe Ya know, that's what I meant by the last pic about her being REAL. She was not stick thin, but was so stunning. She had the world's sadness in her eyes, though.
I am SO happy someone finally replied to this! Thanks, Katie!
Re: Marilyn Monroe I can see the date on this is a bit last year but I still think she was very beautiful and very sad.
I am glad that you posted this even if it did take forever to find it. Wow where did you get these?
So awsome.
Re: Marilyn Monroe Hello LadyDy! Sorry it's taken me so long and you may not see this, but thanks for stopping by. MM is one of those faces that captures so much and is a pleasure to look at.
I don't know where I got those smilies, cos a fellow moderator got them for me when I first opened this site up a few years ago. Sorry I can't help!
Re: Marilyn Monroe I always loved Marilyn....I hate what Hollywood did to her......I think she would have aged as gracefully as Elizabeth Taylor has..
Thank you for posting those..
