Classic Rock Favorites The sound track from "A Walk On the Moon" had me thinking about that era of 6o's and 70's boards often even younger people have some favorites from that time.
So here's a spot to talk about that.
I have a ton but the movie yestersay made me think of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
The song "Helplessly Hoping" played during the credits. It's such a haunting song I've not heard in years and espically loved in junior high school. It was was never as famous even then as their other love songs like "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" and "Our House" or protest song "Ohio". "Teach Your Childern" has allways been another of my favorites from them.
I've also loved Neil Young solo work.
I know a couple of you already on here have some faves from then.
This is an EXCELLENT topic, if I do say so myself (do I sound like Bill & Ted now? haah!)
OK, some of my fav classic rock songs are (and I presume you mean anything 60s and 70s) are:
Solitary Man - Neil Diamond
Girl, You'll be a Woman Soon - Neil Diamond
Mack the Knife - Bobby Darin
Somewhere Beyond the Sea - Bobby Darin
Lovely Rita - The Beatles
Radio Goo Goo - Queen
Tragedy - The Bee Gees
Knights in White Satin - Moody Blues
Rock me Gently - Andy Kim
Sounds of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel
ANYTHING BUDDY HOLLY!
Yeah, you'd think I was born back then but I grew up listening to my mother's old stuff and that's why I love it today. I've actually gone out and bought some of these records (and I love it cos a lot of them are reduced!)
Re: Classic Rock Favorites Any thing from the 60's or 70's pop/rock is fair game. I was in Junior High school in the late 70's so I'll post stuff as it comes to mind, there's too much to put just a few. Even the I listened to all kinds of music.
Amy (what you gonna do)-Pure Prarie League(still a beautiful love song-you'd know it if you heard it)
Running On Empty - Jackson Brown
American Girl-Tom Petty
Turn The Page - Bob Seger
All Along the Watchtower - Jimmi Hendrix
Love Her Madly - the Doors
