The 80s

I was fortunate to have lived in the 80's (albeit as a kid!), but I still remember the music. I always loved music and was fortunate enough to grow up with a family who loved it as well.

Just wanted us to share our 80s favs.

One of mine, as I told Pambi the other day, is 'Take on Me', by A-ha.

This has to be the sexiest song ever! And I love the video. As a kid, I could never understand what my older female relatives were getting all worked up about, but now I understand perfectly! emoticon

My jaw just about hit the floor when you said you like that song. I FRIGGIN? LOVE TAKE ON ME!!!

I mean it, I listen to it and I just drop everything and start dancing around like a crazy person.

I like retro music, like I have said before, and I love the 80s music. The fashion was kind of bad, espcially those hairstyles *rolls eyes*, but damn, I'm just sad I arrived almost ten years too late and missed all the fun.

I love Roxette's "It must have been love" too and "99 red ballons" always makes me shut out the rest of the world. Here in the south existed a band named Soda Stereo, they were really huge, and one of their songs, "De musica ligera" (of light music) is like a hymn for the 80s latin generation. Of course, there's also Mecano, a spanish band, and their song "Aire"(air) is so beautiful... I promise I'll translate it and post it here so you guys get an idea.

Have you ever heard The Damned, the brittish punk band? I absolutely love "Jet boy, jet girl". The lyrics are a bit strong but it's so funny in a wicked sense of humour.

And what about The Cure?! THE CURE!

I guess what makes the 80s music so especial is that has a happy mood to it, well in my opinion, even the sad songs!

AHHH!! The Cure was AWESOME! Remember that freak-ass video, 'Love Cats'? I love watching 80s videos and part of me envies my sis for being older and growing up at that time...I got stuck in the 90s. LOL

Anyway, do post the lyrics for those songs, Iri, I would love to read them.

I was just thinking of that song I love from the 80s but can't remember the name. It goes like this:

"If you leave, don't look back..."

What the heck is that song called?!

Anywho, that was some pretty great stuff! emoticon
