???
I don't even know how to say this...
My family, all of those on my father's side, including my siblings don't believe in christ, or actually a little closer to the mark. They admit that he may have existed but the bible is mainly bits of fluff.
When ever I am at his house (my parents are divorced) I am literally alone in my faith throught my whole family. (grandparents, aunts, cousins, and all)
They wouldn't even drive me to church, saying it was a waste of their gas money...
They know his word, but have closed their minds against it.
my brother even comming to detest it...to detest it...
I really am at loss, and have no longer any idea of what to do.
Suggestions?

Re: ???
I am assuming your concern comes from your father (and that side of his family) not being Christians.
Unfortunately there is not much you can do except to pray that Christ will reveal himself to him.
You can also be a good example of Christ for them. Be obedient to your father, and strive to keep peace with your brother.
If they will not drive you to church, see of somebody from church will come pick you up. Let your pastor know about this problem and he should find some help for you.
You can also keep fellowship with us here at Harmony (you are not alone Skys).
I pray that the Lord will give you strength to stand strong in your faith and be a good example of Christ for the rest of your family.

Re: ???
I was blessed because now I can drive myself. my grandfather (other side of the family) gave me one of his cars so I can just drive myself now, a lot have things have changed since I was last at my church, new pastor and every thing...
pray and wait, the praying I can do, but the waiting I am not so good at.
My biggest fear though, is that they will never listen, my dad and brother (who is 13 now and jjust like him) are very stubborn people. It wil take somthing massive to have an impact on them, to bring them to their knees.
I just pray time doesn't run out before they open their ears

Re: ???
I know what you mean, it's very difficult with family. I've got an unsaved daughter who knows the Truth, but would rather enjoy herself in sin. I pray for her every night. I'll add your family to the list as well.
Meanwhile, check out some of the stuff in the Fishers of Men forum - The Good Test is good for showing people their sin and need for the Savior. I've also got a couple of articles on the accuracy of the Bible (I'll post those in the It's the Bible forum ), if you get a chance to run that past them.
And you've got a whole family of brothers and sisters in Christ right here that will be praying for them as well.

Re: ???
Sky... you are in a difficult situation for sure but it's also a blessing. Those who love you have no idea how God is working in them through you. You may not see what's in their heart but God knows and he has a plan. He's in the business of changing hearts, only He can do that.
Your frustration is merely lack of patients, hehe, that comes with your age, something you can hardly help but if you're aware of that it does help you feel better.
Some times the best witness we can be, specially to those closest to us, is just letting them see Christ in us, which is... joy, peace... a serenity that can't be explained, amen brother brite!
They will draw nearer to that than an attitude of someone telling them what they need to do.
We plant the seeds and God does the harvesting.
Don't be so hard on yourself, you are not "expected" to haul them all to the pearly gates, hehe, praise God! Grow in "your" faith, and as you grow they will be influenced by your faith.
The more you grow and mature in Christ, the more apt they are to come to you when they feel the Lord's conviction. Don't wait on them, wait on the Lord, God moves when we wait on Him, amen!
You are such a blessing to us here at Harmony, so I can only imagine what a blessing you are to your family!

Well said Winkks.
quoting
Skys...

This is me too, I am not very patient. I have been praying that my childhood friend will come to Christ for over 3 years now (with little or no change).
My pastor told me a story about a man he heard of who prayed (everyday) that his best friend would come to Christ. He prayed for that man for almost 70 years. Finally when they were both old men, the man's friend came to know Christ and his prayers were answered.
Can you imagine making the same prayer for almost 70 years?
Very glad to hear you can now drive to church yourself. The Lord will provide indeed.

Re: ???
Skys, I have unsaved loved ones too sweetie. I'll be praying for your family also. It is so hard for me not to just shake the truth into them. People here have gave you very good advice. Let them see Jesus through you and keep on praying for them.

Re: ???
Yeah, I understand what you all are saying, It just gets frusterating sometimes, if you know what I mean.
Once and a while there snooty comments, the jokes, they can hurt deep. (the sad part is I have come accustom to it, but the question comes to mind, should I have?)
