The France kids
Well I just got a call the other day. There are these two kids, shanyn and kody france, they are only 10 and 12. They have moved about 8 times in their life. They live mostly witht their mom, their parents are divorced. Well their mom has problems spending money on the proper things, shall we say, and doesn't pay for their homes. The police just kicked them out of their last one because they had been there for three months but had not once paid rent. We also just found out that when they are at their fathers house (which we had hoped was a much more stabel environment then when at their mom's) however we found that he and his wife has been verbally and emotionally abusing the kids. These kids are on so many perscription medications that it is not even funny, most of which for anxiety disorders caused by their living situation and always wondering how much longer till their world crashes down on them again. Their mom has stayed with all of her siblings, and has virtually ruined her relationship with the family, the most likely situation right now is that they are going to end up homeless, and whether the state takes them, or if they are forced to live with their father we don't know. These kids are very close to me, actually we are cousins. They hurt so bad, you can see it when you talk to them, they don't make friends anymore, they choose not to because they are afraid that as soon as they do make friends they will be uprooted once again. Please keep these two in your prayers. The youngest of the Two accepted Christ just 2 or 3 weeks ago, the older one, shanyn, doesn't yet know who He even is, their mom is the same...
Thank you guys... kids this young shouldn't have to deal with all the things they are dealing with, it is amazing how strong they are.

Praying that God will care for these two children.
A very sad situation indeed.

Re: The France kids
Hey i got an update for you and i am not sure if it is a good or a bad one.
My aunt called the other day, the moved not to long ago to a place, and basically a friend of hers owns it and told her that they could all live there no rent. Well it is pretty far out there. Far from her work and far from their school far from other family (well she is not talking to most of them anymore anyway).
She called me today saying that she needs me to come up there. (the kids are a bit isolated and she thinks that me spending time with them and taking them places will help cure that.) She quit her job, and she has pulled both of the kids out of school entirely and plans on homeschooling them. But i am not sure if she is exactly the best of teachers, but i guess she should be able to manage... She says they are excited...
But she also told me that before she pulled them out that some of the teachers were getting concerned because the kids month by month, week by week, seem to be getting more depressed this is over the past two years.
Their mom told me she has everything all planned out now, that the child support is enough to pay any bills, and that she might taking full time daycare of one child on the side. It sounds like just... idk i just see disaster in all of this... but she sounds excited and thinks she has everything figured out...
Please keep these kids and their mom in your prayers.

Re: The France kids
Sounds like they still need lots of prayer. It's not good to be so isolated. Maybe you could get a Bible in their hands, so they at least have something to read while they're out there.
We'll keep praying.

Re: The France kids
Glad to hear God has put a roof over their heads.
I'll be praying that he comes into their lives and can give them some peace and comfort.

Re: The France kids
I just read through this thread...and I was reminded of how precious children are to God. I seem to recall a few places in the Bible where children would come to Jesus, and the disciples would say something like, (paraphrasing here) "There are more important people that want to see Jesus"...but He said, "Let the little children come to me, for of such is the Kingdom of God." He also said, "Unless you become as a little child, you cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
I have two little nieces and they are just precious...even if the youngest can be a little rascal...they're still precious, to me, and to the Lord. And so are these kids. I'll certainly be praying for them.

A heart that is pure and a love that is blind;
A faith that is fervently grounded in Christ,
The hope that endures for all time.
