Hecate Enthroned goth? Hell no, and never have been. If you're talking about the way they use keyboards and have pretty melancholic parts......that still doesn't make them goth. Goth is its' own genre and consists mostly of bands like SISTERS OF MERCY, THE CURE, and bull**** like that. I think the term 'goth' is thrown around rather loosely in the world of metal music. It seems like most people don't truly know what goth is. They think that just because a person wears a lot of black eyeliner and black nail polish that they are goth.....so wrong. I've heard so many times people say that Cradle is goth because they have so many fans that 'look' goth. Wrong again. Cradle of Filth isn't goth either.
Sure, there's some metal bands that might borrow ceratin elements from the goth genre, but to call them a goth band is simply misinerpreted.
