Some More Hecate Reviews-Kings Of Chaos

The first time I listened to this album, I thought: "What the HELL? They've become Cannibal Corpse!" But now that I've had a chance to listen more carefully to it I have realsied that all the previous Hecate Enthroned subtlety and superb synth work is still there, only now it is interweaved with some of the most uncompromisingly brutal and powerfull music the BM/DM scene has EVER produced! The lyrical style HAS changed, but is now even more powerfull and utterly crushingly heavy than ever before!
Right from the first moments of the album it's obviouse that this outing is quite a varied one, containing everything from the subtly atmospheric intro track, through incredibly heavy and brutally powerfull tracks such as "Malignant Entity" and "Blessing in Disguise". Then comes the revelation: tracks 5,6 and 7 form what is to my mind one of the most exemplary trios of musical perfection the BM scene has ever produced. Incredibly heavy yet filled with musical subtlety, accuracy and performing perfection, I'm still listening to there tracks over and over 5 weeks after buying the album! Track 7 could almost be passed off as dance music, if dance music involved evil spirits intertwining in depraved rights! An overt display of musical prowess and overwhelming superiority if ever there was one!
The album goes through a few more superbly engaging tracks before ending with another suitably dark atmospheric piece.
On the technical side, the production is near perfect, with the crushingly heavy base line coming through strongly but never distortedly. The lyrics are clearly audible (if not allways understandable!) and no one instrument overwhelms any of the others. Excellent production all in all.
To sumn up: If you liked Hecate Enthroned before, then you MUST own this album. If you are interested in the Black Metal scene, or even are just curious, then this is as crucial a purchase as early Emperor!

Got a feeling these dudes need more than a few tips there.................frustrated russian life being what it is..............
I like Kings, just feel production aint as good as what this guy reckons it is. Some damn good songs all said though.

You probably do not believe in fire either. Conservative about what exactly? You are just afraid of new experiences and educating yourself. You have fallen so far behind the rest of the world, all you can do is masturbate (if you ever worked it out that is. You ARE conservative.) in front of the computer listening to the same coupl of cd's you brought as a child and complaining. Try opening you mind you arrid little **** and see the world in its glory. Have some courage and step forward with pride for **** sake. In short: Grow up or rot quietly in a corner.
