Re: Cradle of Filth-The principle of evil made flesh

At the end of the day the only thing that should matter to a musician is that he enjoys what he does. As soon as a band becomes a chore, its time to move on.

The thing i think HE deserve respect for is the fact that in the face of so many adversaries (both with people and in situations) we really dont give a **** what people say or do, whatever happens, HE rolls on regardless. We dont do it for the money or the fame, we do it because its what we enjoy. I think i can speak for the whole band here.

Stuart, have you heard 'Kings of Chaos' or 'Redimus'? Can you believe that some people still compare us to COF? I find this truly amazing.....

Might I also add, in response to Stuart's post, that Cradle of Filth has changed guitar line-ups with almost every album, whence they constantly get new material, also why each album sounds different (aside from Dani's vocals) and you can say whatever you want to praise Dani's vocals or whatever, but I've heard many vocalists do the exact same style, and often times better. When I liked Cradle of filth, I had the Heavy Left Handed or whatever DVD, and I'm sorry but as far as live performances are concerned, Dani's vocals SUCKED!!! I'm not going to say that Jon's vocals were better, because I don't particularly like him either...his style was actually more stagnant and cruel than Dani's, but his lows were better and his highs were more consistant (effects or no effects), I'm a vocalist, I notice these sort of things...I'm sure you do too...but as far as current Hecate Enthroned VS current Cradle of Filth, I find Hecate Enthroned far more appealing. The guitar parts or keyboard parts aren't necessarily more complex, but they have a stronger feeling to them...at least this is my opinion...
And Adrian is an awesome drummer...and you were an awesome guitarist...as were the other guitarists during their respective reigns...but in my opinion, after Cruelty, it all turned to ****...ridiculous line-up changes, and just overall bad vibe with the music...there were good songs here and there in later albums, but the whole album just wasn't all that entertaining...
This is my opinion...I was once a very big Cradle of Filth fan, so I've heard everything they have...same with Hecate Enthroned (although i still need to aquire Miasma...need money)...overall I like Hecate Enthroned more. That's that...
Hey, Stuart, ever thought of doing a solo project? You drum too don't you? I bet you could make something pretty ****ing sick...just a thought...
Speaking of solo projects, Dean, still working on Hateus (sorry if I spelt it wrong)? I'd like to hear it if you have any songs recorded...

Hateus goes as slow as a backwards snail, but thats ok, im not in any rush. Weve enough material for a demo, the songs are somewhere between Mayhem, Satyricon and NunSlaughter, its very primitive.

Aaaaaarrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!

well that's a little concieted...being proud of your ability is one thing, but you're just being arrogant. Showing a little humility wouldn’t hurt...
As for your role in that music video, honestly, it was kinda lame...all that happened to you was some ***** in a bloody bath tub who thought she was Elizabeth Bathory stood up and cut your throat with a razor...cough...LAME...personally I think Lector got the best end of the deal…having a girl stick her twat in his face...haha...but in all honesty, don't really care for the video...but I don't really care for the cd in general...to me it's just pre-midian, and I don't particularly like that album either...
And why do you continue to support Dani Filth? His vocals aren't that good! During live performances I've seen him have to catch up with the music many times, and other times he would forget lyrics, or do his ridiculously bad low growls in place of lyrics that he might have forgotten...Dani Filth sucks...about all he can do well is do the high screams and write lyrics...his live spoken vocals and low growls (live and on CD) all blow...
And why do you feel it's necessary to protect Cradle's reputation so much? Last time I checked, you're not in the band anymore. It's great that you're so incredibly proud of your performances in Cradle, but don't you think it's about time you try to achieve something else that you can be proud of? Or is your reign in Cradle the highlight of your career?
Speaking of, this has been bothering me for a long time...how is it that Paul A. leaves after the first album, and then miraculously reappears in midian when Cradle is supremely popular? Seems a little fishy to me...
I don't mean to offend with this post, but this sort of thing interests me/confuses me...

I look forward to hearing Hateus when you're ready to show it off. (maybe you could make a few sample mp3's? hmmm? errr...hopfully)

Hey Dyl- have you got a demo yet of that At The Gates-y type stuff you and Rob were playing with them two Scouse guitarists? It sounded good and I wouldn't mind a listen at some point.

My opinion: This album has big highs (Wolves in Snow, Principle, Forest)... Cradle are good til Nymphetamine... but with Midian and Damnation ...they have faults.

And to those who are angered by liking Hecate and Cradle? Why?
