I once played some songs of the first EP to a friend, she found the screaming unbearable
also played Who Can Say to a girl who listened to primarily Pop-Punk bands, she found it to be way too loud, lol

I have this flannel shirt that has my Horrors and Black Flag pins on it, a girl in history class was like "There's a boot on your button"
It was the button with the winklepicker on it. Anyways I told her about the Horrors, told her I saw em twice, met Rhys, got Faris's saliva and setlist, and proclaimed them to be one of the best bands of the decades.
She was like uh... okay, nice shirt

When someone asks her who my favourite band is, she talks forever about their music, look, etc.
Then she has to explain that 'goth' or whatever is different to 'emo' or whatever.
So now when someone asks I just go "Uh, nevermind. THIS WAY, MUM *drags her off*"

^ oh same here. But she's gotten to the point where she just says "she listens to underground british psychedelia".
And my best mate introduced me to The Horrors, she was a little freaked by "Little Victories" and so she let me listen to it was like finding that missing sock that had been stuck in the dryer for five years. Yeah the love is that deep, haha.

okay this girl is herself not my friend, I hate her, yet hang out with her anyway lol, she's a massive fan of The Kills and a total hipster (and one of the few to dismiss Shoegazing). Anyways when the Horrors opened for The Kills earlier this year she was at the gig (I didn't know until yesterday), and she was like "The Horrors suck". I only went to that gig to see The Horrors, I didn't really care for The Kills, although I do respect 'em.
Oh yeah, I also didn't stay to see the Kills cus I had school the next day and my dad wanted to get home

I brought a copy of the NME to a sleepover over the weekend, and the horrors were in it, and I mentioned how they're my favorite band of all time and the girl next to me said "I thought you liked the red hot chili peppers" it was weird, because i've never really liked them that much, like in third grade maybe, but not really..
then one of my friends mentioned how weird they looked, but as they are british they must be really cool.
i don't really see why i'm friends with these people..

My boyfriend hates the Horrors, and nothing I say will ever change that  He thinks they're plagiarists of the highest order, who think far too much of themselves and are generally douches. And can't even listen to Faris's voice...
