I am starting this topic as a place for anyone building a three-wheeler to post information and pictures of their build.

Re: Current Build Projects
For anyone interested here's some early pics of my project. So far it's been a fun build. I have modified the size of the chassis, as I am a bit on the tall side, by adding 2" to the overall length and increased the roll bar height a bit. I fabricated the seat by making cardboard templates from the seat in the race car that I work on and then cutting the parts out of .100" aluminum. I had access to a sheet metal brake at work and have lots of experience bending sheet metal so I was able to save a bit on this part. The donor bike is a Suzuki GSXR 600, at 100 horsepower I think it will be quick enough and Suzuki has made a lot of commonality in their engine mounts so I can easily switch to a 750 or 1000 if I need more power. Working on the A-arms now, found some teardrop shaped chrome moly tubing that I just had to have! That money that I saved on the seat, yep, spent that and more on it but I think they will look great on my project.
I'd like to see pics of other projects so send them on gents.

Re: Current Build Projects
I could only link one picture directly to Gary's entry.
You can see more of Gary's Pictures at the following link:
Gary's Build Pictures
Just in case anyone else wants to post a picture to this site, you need to do a few things:
1: make sure that your picture has two versions, one of them being a thumbnail about 1.5 inches wide.
2: upload your thumbnail and picture to a website somewhere.
3: when you post a reply, use the thumbnail as the image for the link to the larger image.
If you send any to me, I can upload them to the same server I use for this site, but it may take some time

Re: Current Build Projects
Heres an IndyCycle being built by a gentleman named Richard (his nickname keeps getting censored by runboard):

Re: Current Build Projects
Heres another IndyCycle being built by a good friend named Bryan. He even came out to visit once and got to take a spin on my IndyCycle:

Re: Current Build Projects
I am currently building my version of the indycycle based on Jamieson's plans. I have been doing a lot of research on Indy cars so that I can incorperate some of their design characteristics into the body. I have decided to make a buck, or plug with my body design so that I can make a mold and then subsequent bodies. The pictures on the web right now are a couple of weeks old. I have decided to go in another direction with the design, so the skeleton that you see in the pics is not going to stay. I will update the site at key intervals (when there is actually something to see). Please visit my site to see the progress.

Does ANYONE other than Jamieson have one of these done?

Re: Current Build Projects
Bryan, Thanks for buzzing me. I have had a few guys call or e-mail me thanks to Jamieson. I am putting a picture gallery together for the members where I will host their indycycle progress pics and finished pics. I am building to go to Bonneville however I will still be driving this on the street. We have plans for a staged wet Nitros system at first, and then a turbo. It will be as fast as it looks. Re: Current Build Projects
All the chat about existing projects is great to hear but has anyone here finished one yet? I'd love to know what they're really like to drive and own - any answers?

Re: Current Build Projects
Well, it's almost finished! I am re-assembling mine after painting. I have test driven it, prior to paint, but only for a couple of miles so I can't say a whole lot about how it drives yet but from the few short test hops I can tell you that it was exhilarating, very quick, and a lot of fun so far.
Southern Ohio weather isn't conducive to riding at the present time but in a few weeks I hope to start getting some riding time.
