 Journey questions for Zentron....
First post! First post! Ooooooo....
Anyway....
1) Will this new comic be based (at least on Earth) in the 1980's or in the present?
2) Will the characters be the same ages as they were in the series?
3) Will the amusement park actually have a NAME?
4) Is drawing Tiamat as hard as it would seem?

I was expecting questions, so here goes:
1> The first issue will be 3/4's set in the real world, the rest in the realm, and the year will be as it was. You'll get to see most of their homes and bedrooms, them in their jim-jams(only a couple of them), plus Hank's car(yes, I've given him a car, nice looking 1 too).
2> Yes they will be, and acting their age a bit more than the original.
3> No, it'll just be known as the 'Amusement Park'
4> No, it's actually not as hard as you'd think.

1) Jim-jams, huh? Judging from your examples, I can guess which two you're talking about. 
2) You mean the gang will be deep in the thralls of puberty?? Think clean thoughts, Z.
3) How about "Loonyland"? ("When in Loonyland, do as the loonies do!"))
Okay, its my fanfic reference. Sue me, I need the exposure.
4) Got plans for any monsters from the GAME we haven't seen in the cartoon? (The illithids would be a heck of a choice.)

4) Allowed?? Exactly who's going to get on your case if you use something from the D&D Monster Manual, eh? Illithids would kick butt! They're about the most "D&Dish" monster they have, second only to the Beholder. (And on a side note, I hope if you use one, you can do justice to a Beholder. The one in the series was HORRIBLE!)

Most likely the guys who own the game, but I suppose I can wing it if I try.... more re-designing, phew!! Anywayz, I'll be posting the rest of the characters on Sunday, then you'll only have to wait for the actual issue.(just finished the fc and layed out the first couple of pages, rough draft of course)

Will the kids be given last names, and if so, are you going to make them up or go with some of the more accepted fanfic names that have been around a while?
Here they are, in case you don't know what I'm talking about:

Eric Montgomery
Russell (Presto) Sydney
Bobby O'Brien
Sheila O'Brien
Diana Curry
(Though, from my own personal tastes, I like to think Presto's first name is PRESTON, since it fits so well. And I've also seen Diana's last name as Beckett from some of my favorite fanfics, so I'm partial to that as well. But that's MY opinion.)

Well, I never really considered giving them any last names, mostly because there were never actually said in the series, though I suppose I could slip them in somewhere, but they're not really needed.
I'll keep an open mind about it and we shall see!

Not needed? Ahhh...the Gilligan's Island method (QUICK! What was the Professor's name? BEEP! Times up!)
I can see your point. It's not really a make or break thing. It could get help get over some awkward moments in dialogue, however.
Ex: When Teri yells out at Bobby "You make it out of this crazy world Bobby the Barbarian!" Ecch. That wording just seems so off kilter. A last name would have helped.
Juuuust something to keep in mind, is all.

Yeh, but I'm not gonna do a line as cheesey as that, and I haven't really made up a story that'll need to use their last names. Unless someone else has a line like that in their fan-fic, I don't have much use for last names, though an open mind is still there if needed.
BTW, what do you think Presto's mum looks like? 'cos she has a very short 'good-bye' scene.(I've already got her designed, I'm just dropping a little teaser for ya)
