Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
We just found out that Mom's cancer is fairly aggressive, so it will need chemotherapy treatments. The cancer is deemed "curable" and if there is a re-occurrence it'll happen within 5 years. If it doesn't, it will be considered cured.

Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
I've been feeling sickish for two weeks and I finally went to the doctor thinking he was going to say "It's all in your head, you are a wimp, go to work." and instead he said "Something is definitely wrong with you and I'm running a bunch of tests to find out what it is."
And so now we're waiting for the tests to come back. He's testing for mono and hepatitis, and he thinks something is wrong with my liver. Please pray? He won't let me work and is making me lay around and rest all weekend. I am at a loss for what to do with myself.

Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
Beth just had to get taken into the hospital to get an ultrasound on her level. Her bilirubin levels were high, if that means anything to anyone. They're still not sure what it is. We would appreciate all the prayer we can get, though!

Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
Beth has mono. The doctor said it's a bad case. Bilirubin is some sort of liver fluid that the normal count is 1.4 and mine was 7.7 which is why they had me go to the ER last night. The liver thing was turning my skin and eyes yellow.
So mono supposedly makes me tired and sick for awhile and can take a few months for me to feel better. My spleen is swollen and at risk for rupture, so don't hit me in the stomach, and my liver is going crazy.
I do feel better today, but I don't know why because they didn't really do anything. I've got matching bruises on each arm from drawing blood for tests and my liver problem is making me itchy all over so I've got scratch marks on my whole body.
I think I'm going to make it though.

I'm sorry, Beth. I have a friend who had mono a few years ago and had a tough time with it. I'll be praying for you!

Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
So, I have a praise. Most of you who have been on facebook or talked to me lately know that I wasn't doing so hot in my classes at school. I had 4 F's at one point, so that was really upsetting, but fortunately, things have improved. I found out today that I now have gotten two of my grades to above a 70(passing) and I also have another grade which has been lifted from an F to a D. Unfortunately the fourth one is still an F, but hopefully, within the next month, if I work hard, I can bring that up too.
So, I wanna say thanks to the people who prayed with me two sundays ago about my grades. I think it's working. Hopefully in the next month, I will see the full extent of the powere that prayer can have.

I'm really glad Jason, it's cool to see what God is teaching you through all of that!

Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
Copied from one of my dad's emails:
The final pathology report indicated that Pam had a stage 2, grade 2 cancer. This means that it was an aggressive cancer that had spread to one of her lymph nodes. She will begin an every two week dosage of chemotherapy on March 2 and should be done by the end of June. Thank you for your continued prayers in this journey.

Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
My neice had an emergency C-section last night. The baby wasn't due until April, but she weighs 5 lbs and so far is doing all right.
Two of my sisters children (in their 20's with toddlers) are NOT making good choices.
Oh, and my sister had to have a CAT scan, so we're waiting for results.
Please keep my family in prayer,
Pam

Re: The (semi) Official Prayer/Praise list
I'd like to ask you guys to keep my roomate, Longji, in your prayers. When I came back from home last night, I was told that he had taken an emergency trip back to Nigeria and that he wouldn't be at school for the next week. Then, this morning, I found out that his father died of a heart attack a few days ago. he and his brother, Nanribet, apparently went back to attend his funeral. I'm sure this must be very hard for them, so please just pray that God will help them through this. Thanks.
