Favorite thing about KY
Hey, this is because I thought it was cool when we talked about it at Recharge, so I wanted to have it all in writing. What was your favorite part about Kentucky and why, then post all the funny stories you can think of.
My absolute favorite part was the covering prayer. I've never done anything like that and it really blew me away - I loved hearing what was prayed for each person. (Jason, I think I cried like a baby when we were praying for you.) And I was so surprised that it had taken two hours just to pray for the eight in our group.
Another great part was the late night hallway parties and that last night when we stayed up all night. Does anybody remember what we were laughing about with Sarah, Jason, Jason and I? I can't remember, but my abs hurt like crazy afterwards.
I think it was the funniest thing in the world that The Chad was the one who did the shopping cart races in the hallway. That cracked me up.

The last night was awesome, mainly because everybody was so tired by then the dumbest things were funny. Then we tried to play assassin but nobody took it seriously or understood. It was a total disaster.
I went into covering prayer with low expectations, but I certainly got proven wrong. It was also amazing to see the energy in the church we went to, even though I did feel pretty uncomfortable. (Physically too, thanks to those stupid pants.)

The funny part about the church was clapping to every song that lasted twenty minutes. My hands were numb.
And the embarrassing part was trying to sing with no microphones. Sheeesh.
I think driving the van back to base with all of you idiots throwing stuff at each other was an interesting experience, especially after Ethel had just told me about her niece getting hit by a truck and burning up in hot tar.

Omgosh beth! i totally forgot about that....when i was writing my reply. Of course those were all gr8 moments. except the triangle game. That caused to much frustration. The talk on the way from the blue courts was awesome. That was the longest and deepest i've talked to you. And of course staying up all night was fun too. What I hated the most was that i was sick like the WHOLE TRIP. How annoying is that? You guys relle kept my mind off that with all ur shenanigans. Beth, you and i need to have another long, deep conversation again sometime.
