Need PS2!
Ok, this is very important but I didnt think it was important enough to put on the prayer/praise thread so I just started my own. Last night, I got up from my chouch to turn my PS2 on and I shocked the button to turn it on before I actually pressed it. It turned on by itself ( I guess by the pure power of my static electricity) which was kinda cool, but after a few seconds it turned off again and I couldnt turn it on again. And it still doesnt work. So if anyone knows anyone who has a PS2 that they dont need, I would appreciate it if you would have them get in touch with me somehow. If you need my phone # or my email adress, just let me know and I will give it to you. Thanks

I don't think I can help you there, but I do know that you could probably find really cheap ones on Half.com, even brand new. It's a division of eBay where you don't have to bid.
Also, is it just me, or does "last night, I got up from my couch to turn my PS2 on" make it sound like it was ground-breaking that you got up from the couch? Sorry, I couldn't resist.
...Does this mean you're going to show up on my doorstep wanting to play World Tour?

Warranties typically expire within 90 days, and with Sony, it's just common practice for their hardware to stop working. It's why they're slowly going under. It costs them about $449 to make and they retail for $400. (The 80 Gig model.) That's down from almost $700 last year, so they're losing money. They claim it's their "business model." They have to cut corners somehow. They have the least reliable hardware period. (With Microsoft's 360 controllers in close contention, and Guitar Hero and Rock Band instruments close behind.)

Thanks for that Josh. haha. I might check that website out though, thanks. I just hate buying from an internet source cause how do you know their PS2 didnt do the same thing mine did and they r just trying to get rid of it?

I would buy a brand new one factory sealed. I have never been ripped off, and I've bought plenty of things from them. It's good to read reviews and all that before hand, too.
