Re: I am back, and the 1000 post shall come soon.
I was actually really shocked that I hadn't heard about any of those things. Granted, I don't watch every hour of news, but I do see it at least every day, and I didn't know about the 100+ miners in Russia or the elections and so forth. America is so self-centered-- we treat minuscule national stories as if they were as important as headline international news.
I mean, I was watching an episode of 'Teen News' last week (so retardedly mind numbing) and of their "International News" stories they only had two that were not U.S. or Iraq, and as I recall, they were both related to the war (Britain and Iran?). How ridiculous is that? No wonder people have no clue what is happening in the outside world!

Re: I am back, and the 1000 post shall come soon.
They only have the clue of what the media feeds them, which is pretty much all slander and libel and all that good stuff. Anything that makes us look bad is good enough for them to feed on. I swear, half the media should be arrested for slander and libel. Isn't treason illegal anymore? Saying President Bush is a terrorist, or saying that one of the smartest (notably conservative) people in the media is "the devil himself?" That's outright slander!

Who said that?

Re: I am back, and the 1000 post shall come soon.
It was 100% of Sunnis in Baghdad, which shouldn't surprise anyone, considering that it's a war zone. 52% of people think that there is a time when it's OK to attack US troops, not they think it's OK to do it whenever.
NBC ratings haven't gone down the tubes.
Examples of slander and libel, please?

NBC ratings have plummeted. Look for the numbers to back it up. They lost more than half their viewers.
Trying to defend the poll, eh? Well, in any case, unless they polled like, five people, there are never 100% agreements anywhere about anything. They say 52% of people think the violence on US troops is okay? Explain, then, how when the US does something really good over there (which usually isn't reported in newspapers or media anyway) that on more just newscasts (FOX News and others) there are literally thousands of people out in the streets rejoicing. They also mention the about 100 people protesting the troops in violent fits of riot-like rage. At the same time this is being reported, you flip to CNN and they show only the people protesting it.
Slander and libel is everywhere. Especially at the president. Note when John Kerry's "botched joke" slandered every last trooper in Iraq. (He said "if you don't get an education, you wind up in Iraq.") People are constantly saying Bush is a terrorist. The aforementioned Republican being literally called Satan himself repeatedly on the air on his own show.
If that's not enough slander, just look more carefully. Or watch CNN.

Why don't you look at
the numbers yourself?

Who do I trust? Josh, with his unsourced anecdotes that "thousands of people are dancing in the streets", or a respected polling institution?

You still haven't sourced an example.

If you EVER link me to a PDF document ever again, so help me I will come to your house and beat you with a wet noodle. I hate Adobe Reader, its constant wish to take over my computer, its slowness...
Also, those are viewer statistics. Not ratings. And who collected this data?

The respected polling institution you speak of is known to be the most biased far-left media center in existance. And the "unsourced anecdotes" are footage taken by the media and statistics, as well as first-hand info.

I cited about three.
If you don't believe there's an under-the-table conspiracy, and that the whole media (besides a few) are flaming liberals, next time you come to our house, I am going to show you FOX News channel for about 30 minutes, then CNN for about 5. For example, yesterday's speech was on FOX News as this whole "wow Bush confronted the congress. He made a strong resolution, and blah blah blah." On CNN the caption for the segment was literally: "Bush blames Democrats in his speech." And under that was Speaker Nancy Palosi (who is a huge Secular Progressive and far-left nutcase if you haven't noticed) saying "Bush needs to clam down with the threats." If you watched the speech, he never once threatened anyone.

Re: I am back, and the 1000 post shall come soon.
You still haven't sourced any. What I mean by that is that you haven't shown anything other than yourself to back up your claims.
Your example could just show that FOX is biased towards Bush.

So not calling someone a terrorist is being biased towards them?
When Bush or his administration does something, they report on it whether it's good or bad. Sometimes their anchors and such agree with Bush. Sometimes they don't. That's being neutral, and there's a fine line.
