"Quote of the Famine" tiebreaker.
This post is created for the sole purpose for Janae and Sarah to argue why their quote should win the (un)honor. After they start giving their points, other people can too, but it's their quotes. This is the only fair way I could do it, and I, as impartial judge, will make the final decision.

Did I mention it has to be a GOOD argument?
Sarah, your response? (Looks like we'll be waiting a few days.)

Re: "Quote of the Famine" tiebreaker.
I was under the impression that Chris was the other winner in question. *checks other thread* He was. Well then.
Advantages of my quote over Chris's:
"You have a beautiful smile" is a catchy, humorous and highly quotable phrase designed to bring discomfort to Josh. It also has the potential of use in other areas of life, such as: to your dentist, your other other mortal enemy and your siblings when they are annoying you to death.
While a snide comment about a certain persons height can be amusing as the situation goes, it is highly unoriginal and a stale comparison jibe exploiting differences and prejudices. "You have a beautiful smile" is an innovative, fresh and new genre of vocabulary being neither insult nor compliment, while maintaining the flexibility to be used in any circumstance.
Great writers change grammar, breaking the rules of accepted writing to re-define the way that people use language to communicate. This is the rising of a modern form of speech for a modern generation and will continue to flourish in this contemporary age.
EDIT: Bring it, Chris. Bring it.

Re: "Quote of the Famine" tiebreaker.
I used Janae because Janae was arguing the point more than Chris, and Chris isn't on enough, and he can't read. When Chris does get on, he has so many unread things it's pathetic.

Re: "Quote of the Famine" tiebreaker.
so what if it is unoriginal, at least everyone will understand it unlike "You have a beautiful smile"! That is a normal complement that you have used to annoy Josh, and noone but you, him and a couple other people will understand! It is a quote you have to explain! The Rachael quote you don't!
You can also use the Rachael quote as an excuse for many different things, like when playing volleyball and miss the ball, or when at recharge and she is infront of you and Ken asks you a question and you weren't paying attention, and many more!
You know what Josh, If you pick Sarah to win I will claim that it was riged because the quote is about you! It really isn't nonbias if you are the judge!!
I am normally good at arguing points but I just don't have much or I guess really care because this is rigged!!!!!!!!
Even if you do pick me Sarah will just come back and say you picked me so I couldn't claim it was rigged!!!

Re: "Quote of the Famine" tiebreaker.
So then I lose both ways, eh?
Picking Sarah's doesn't really give me any more satisfaction than picking yours. While I agree Sarah's could need explanation to those who don't know us, the other does too, to an extent. Calling just anyone short isn't that funny. Frankly, picking one or the other won't win or lose any battles for me.

The 'problem' of mass understanding is highly overrated. Shakespeare created new words and phrases from the stage, meaning that the public began to quote lines that they had only heard once or twice to an extent that these words are members of the English language today. A person not knowing exactly what "You have a beautiful smile" means doesn't prevent them from the enjoying the joke, it only limits them from it's fullness.

And yet "You have a beautiful smile" is versatile in all situations, to people of any height, race or religion. It too can be used in many different areas of life, and not just in circumstances dealing with short people. At best, in this aspect the quotes are equal and they must be judged on a basis other then flexibility of use. At worst, my quotes versatility annihilates yours.

Well, who is? I haven't won yet, anyway, so you still have time to rebut. Even if it's rigged, you can fight me to the death!

Re: "Quote of the Famine" tiebreaker.
Sarah fails for using "it's" as a possessive word. It'd be its. Go watch some Homestar Runner cartoons. Maybe you'll learn something.
I only agreed to judge this because I'm on the most often and everyone else can also look at with bias. Since I hate bias, I decided to.
But basically, you're saying if I pick Sarah, it's a conspiracy, and if I pick you, it's just so that you don't think it's a conspiracy? Can I win at all in this?
You will get another chance. Trust me, you'll get another chance.
