Dear brethren, In order to assist the almoner in his duties, three sub-groups: Home visiting and assistance - to visit brethren in hospital and who are recuperating and give follow up support. Brethren in need - to assist any brethren in need with advice and personal visits and contact networking (not financial assistance) charity drives - to build up the the benevolent funds to make this a usable function of the lodge. To arrange occasional events and on-going subscriptions (life insurance policies, standing orders, etc.). The amount of involvement in this sub-group would vairy according to demands.
