We are an international Mobile Technology company that develops sites and produces and distributes our own image and video content.
We are looking for a Video Editor with good FCP skills. A good working knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects would also be a definite bonus.
We set up bi-monthly shoots for FHM cover-stars, which involve early starts and late finishes, so you must be from Brighton or surrounding area. The shoots also involve loading, unloading and setting up at locations, as well as filming, lighting, sound recording and interviewing using HDV cameras and sound equipment.
The majority of the editing work is making FHM style Glamour shoot clips for mobile phones in the style that appears in the magazines, which involves a lot of creativity, and there will also be a couple of days a week working on adult entertainment clips for our foreign clients.
You’ll need a good eye for detail, creativity in order to come up with shoot ideas, work well under pressure and on projects that you will be solely responsible for, and be open to overtime when needed. The role will also include assisting in Producing the shoots, so good organisational skills are desired, as is an interest in photography. A clean driving licence would also be helpful, and good Graphic Design and Photoshop skills are required to come up with titling, making mobile images and re-touching photographs. After Effects skills would be a definite advantage in order to animate titling, and creating 2D and 3D backgrounds for Greenscreen work.
We will need to slot you in straight away, so firm FCP skills and experience editing is essential.
