Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, London Studios currently require a highly motivated, enthusiastic Motion Graphics Designer & Video Editor to join growing production team, working on a prestigious & well-established music video franchise for the PlayStation®2, and now developing for the PlayStation®3. The successful candidate will work with the existing video team & senior team members to assist in all aspects of video processing, editing, video creation & motion graphics work.
Candidates should have excellent understanding of broadcast & video standards and technology, be methodical, adaptable and extremely well organised.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Editing of music video according to established guidelines
- Processing of videos, following an established workflow
- Identifying problematic issues within videos and working accordingly
- Liaising with Audio and Design Departments on editing issues
- Liaising with Video Team Lead on editing issues & to ensure approval is sought where necessary
- Creation of music videos, using supplied assets, stock footage & creating original content
- Creation of in-game, brand identity animations
- Creation of motion mock-ups to support graphic design process
- Liaising with Art Director and Art Manager to ensure visual quality and consistent brand identity
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
This is an excellent opportunity for talented graduates or candidates with an existing background in Creative Video Editing/ New Media, ideally also with experience of newsrooms or online dealing with video compressions.
Edits require fast turn-around times & we are particularly looking for someone with good eye for maintaining narrative and ability to deal with inappropriate content in the most successful manner.
Although the job is primarily Mac-based candidates should be experienced working on both Mac & Windows platforms.
SOFTWARE:
Candidates should be fluent in Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and have knowledge of Compressor and Flash.
They will also be required to work with in-house Project specific tools (Content Management System).
