Vacancy: FCP Editor/Graphic designer

QUICK SUMMARY: Final Cut Editor/Graphic designer required, 26 Nov – 14 Dec, 10-15 minutes from Ladbroke Grove tube/Kensal Rise Silverlink stations, paid role (salary DOE).

Job Description: We're looking for an editor with additional skills in graphic design and visualisation. Possible roles could include: editing using Final Cut Pro, client attending edit, DVD authoring, FX to be handed off to another editor, storyboard design, 3D CG, previsualisation for projects in preproduction. This is not an entry level or work experience position! We need someone who is able to get on with zero supervision once they've been briefed on a project and have had a chance to ask questions. A working knowledge of digital media/file formats/codecs would be very useful.
Important traits: We need someone self motivated, who shows up on time and makes sure their work gets done so as to not let the team down. We have some very important clients and it is paramount their work is done to proper standard and by the agreed deadline. While we're a friendly, sociable company, we prefer someone with a serious work ethic.
Working environment: We've got lots of talented young people with fresh ideas who love making films, a great place to network and learn what's going on if you've got a breather between projects. We're not just a post facility, we also do production crewing and equipment hire so could also be a chance to look at some of the latest HD kit up close...
Software skills: Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Shake, Photoshop, Illustrator...In Design/Maya a plus. (We're a Mac based facility, so familiarity with OS X is a big plus.)
About us: Film38 Ltd is a small but very dynamic production, crewing and post production facility. Located ten minutes from Ladbroke Grove tube station, we specialise in shooting, editing and posting music videos, short films and commercials.
Reason for vacancy: a member of staff is on holiday during this period; while not expected to lead to a staff position this role could lead to occasional freelance work of a similar nature.
