Re: …

I hate to be the one to tell you this, Jinz...but...whether or not you said that outloud...here...is the least of your worries, well, because yesterday, my regularly scheduled programming was interrupted by an announcement on the Emergency Broadcast Network. Yup, you guessed it...it said, "Jinzy loves cute Mormon Missionairies!"

Re: i guess

There is a Mormon Church right next door-ish to me so I do not get cute Mormon Missionaries any more ;( I get frumpy Jehovah's Witnesses. But they are fun to talk to. and nice people. They just do not like my doggies.

I decided to (GULP) break down and homeschool. It's been as easy as pie this first week + 2 days...but it's almost been tooooo easy.

Congrats, Emm on a girl!

Re: i guess

It's all completely regulated by the state. They provide all the books, internet connection (to get the assignments), all the supplies you could ever imagine needing (a beaker for science, a compass and maps for history), and a "teacher" (who basically sits at home and rakes in a salary)

Then, they have a default setting for class work in all subjects. At that point, you begin working at your own pace. We're already done with the 5 week of math in less than 2 weeks!! (math is her forte). All the work in a day is supposed to last from 4-6 hours...we're done in 1.5 hours. Scary, no?

Anywhoo....we got done super early today and so now I'm just chillin' on the 'net. emoticon

If I were going to ever homeschool, I think it would have to be with a program like that.

Re: i guess

my BFF's daughter wants to be homeschooled, probably because there is nobody home during the day and she could do what she wants to do. She has had a bunch of tantrums about it ( she is 13)
I thought about homeschooling the boys, but I know I am too demanding on my own kids, I am better with other peoples kids.
