I like being ON topic. It's way better than Hot Topic. I can't wear any of that stuff.

Re: …

This is completely a true story AND it's on topic...

When I was a kid, my Grandparents had a cat named GD. This is because my Grandfather never called it by it's given name, he just referred to it as "That God Damned Cat". My Grandmother made him shorten it to, "That GD cat" in front of the grandkids. Eventually, we all started calling her GD...we had no idea, we were just kids.

My neighbors had a series of cats all named Dac. Dac 1, Dac 2, etc.

I was 14 before I found out that the cats were really named D.A.C. - Dumb Ass Cat.

Reminds me of Disney's "That Darn Cat".

Aw! I loved That Darn Cat...

I forgot to add that my Grandparents always had Golden Fruit cookies in their cabinets for me...because I was obsessed with tea and Golden Fruit cookies (no explanation here...I just liked them, okay?). I didn't know they were called Golden Fruit, though. I thought they were called GD cookies for the longest time. As soon as I walked through the kitchen door, my Gaga would yell to my Nana saying, "Harriet! One of the Lovely Sisters is here and she'll want those GD cookies, again!"

Oddly, I never really wondered why the Cat and the cookies were both called GD.

Oh, and my sister and I were the Lovely Sisters. He had so many Grandchildren, that he just grouped us into little units. My sis and were the youngest so we had our own unit called the Lovely Sisters.

Wow...I miss them.
