Thank goodness that someone's thinking of me! I was SO upset when I found my old threads in the archives. My ego is now happy again. I thank you...I thank you...I thank you...

How 'bout a thread about Tiki's threads? Nice Jordache, by the way. Is that reeeeeeal velour?
Yes...it is. Very soft and I like how I can make patterns and designs when I rub it the wrong way. Velour is fun like that.

Is it a shirt or is it a doodle pad? One could theoretically write something foul for their class picture. Theoretically, of course.
Yah, good theory. Something that will only be visible when the flash goes off and the light hits it just right! Sneaky...

Re: Miz Tiki's gotta have a thread Thread
Hey...I just noticed that I'm an Other, now. Cool. I'll celebrate today by going barefoot and wearing my fake beard. I KNEW there was a reason behind that purchase.

Fake beard?!
Shhhh...that's just what I tell everyone if I don't have time to shave. The good thing is that I've always got a summer job with the carnival if I feel like getting away for a while. It's not bad. I get to sit in an air conditioned tent all day and I can have all the fried dough and snow-cones that I want. YUM. Soon? I'll be able to fill in for the Fat Lady.

speaking of freaks, anyone ever see the movie "Freaks"? Soooo cool, all about circus freaks.
Hey, could someone pass the butane? I gotta go do my act.
This reminds me of my King RIchard's Faire story. A couple of years ago, Hubs and I sat in on the Sword Swallowing/Fire Eating show. A very young husband and wife were the performers. I don't know why we thought that this was so funny but during the show they kept passing the hat around for donations because..."It's very difficult to get medical insurance in our line of work". We spent the rest of the day laughing about this...ummmmm....I guess you had to be there.
:laff:
Oh...and we're going this weekend. I can't wait. So fun...
I may even get me one of these huge glasses of wine... :drunk:

My new bodice came in so I 'll be all set to go to ren fest in the near future! I's red :brows: LB LOVES red! :smooch:
Red!!! Red is good. I think I've mentioned that I don't go in costume. Not yet, at least. Someday? Maybe. Those huge glasses of wine may help me along.

I REALLY want a costume. But I think I'd be happier if I really had an actual castle to live in. Sort of like this one:
I think though, I'd have to go in late medieval garb. hmmm, or as a tavern wench. I'll let Sean pick.
You and I will have to share a castle, one day. It's my dream too.
Okay, time for another story. All this castle talk reminds me of this one.
A very long time ago...BC (before children) Hubs and I were out to dinner in our favorite restaurant. It's very tiny and the tables are closely situated. It was so embarrassing because, at the table next to us, an elderly woman was REALLY being terrible to her husband. She was loudly complaining that he never gave her anything and that marrying him was the worst mistake in her life. He ruined everything and she deserved much better than him. She was screaming that their kids were useless, HE was useless antd the she wanted "a castle" and he never was able to provide her with one. So sad. He just sat ther eating. He never even looked up at her or said anything to her. Obviously, he was familiar with this speech. All of the other patrons were nervously looking at each other and smiling but it was embarrassing. Now, it's become a joke for Hubs and I. Whenever I say I want to move or re-do something in my house, Hubs starts screaming, "I wanted a castle!" Funny...but sad for them.
