I'm sorry for anyone who doesn't sleep. I usually can sleep quite well but, lately, I've had an issue with my right hip that keeps me awake. Man, it hurts. Also, I've had a very strange feeling since returning from vacation. Seriously, I think that it may be vertigo. I don't feel faint or whoozey, just, sometimes, I feel like the room is spinning ever so slightly. Strange. I can actually feel myself swaying just a little bit. Makes me nervous. My Mom had inner ear trouble on and off during her lifetime. I hope it isn't hereditary. :beg:

It's probably just a bit o' leftover rum from vacation!

did you eat anything local? go see the doctor. I'm not trying to alarm you, but vertigo isn't something to play with AND it's usually easily solved.

Actually, as much as I may kid about drinking lots of rum, I stay away from alcohol when an vacation with my kids. So, it couldn't be that. I didn't eat anything local...conch didn't seem too appetizing, but, who knows? Oh, and don't worry about alarming me...I've already alarmed myself. So, tell me all the bad stuff and don't worry. I need to know.

vertigo is just something I'd alert my doc too quickly. It could be a low level ear infection/sinus infection. It could be a massive brain tumor ready to birth an alien. Mostly though, I lean towards an ear infection. Which you could have easily got and you wouldn't necessarily know you have. But, tell the kids that if an alien pops out of your head to kill it, not you, quickly. K?

Cool...I'm definitely NOT calling the Doc. I want an alien baby! It would be so fun to see people's reactions when I take it grocery shopping!

If you have an alien baby please please please take a picture of it with your gnome. Also, please please please don't let it sleep with your kids.

Oh, and if it's interested in planting a bamboo patch in the backyard just say NO! If it attaches to your face, kill it. If it looks like John Travolta and has dreadlocks coming out of it's nose KILL IT.

Yeah...but if it attaches to my face then I won't ever have to worry about wearing make-up again. The only problem would be the acid it has for blood. That my hurt. If it looks like John Travolta and has dreadlocks coming out of it's face, I'll send it over to TomKat's house.

I make it a rule to never mock religion. I can't keep my rule when it comes to Scientology. For pete's sake, the guy made a bet that he could make up a religion to make money. And Thetans? COME ON!!!!! To move forward in your faith should never ever ever involve emptying your bank account. EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I don't usually mock religion either- you know that, but that last line about not having to empty your bank account to move forward in your faith could apply to a WHOLE LOT of Evangelical types are out there, and that is not mocking, that is observation. I really hate that these 'preachers' use their power and innocent people Faith to bankrupt them and abuse them that way. Last I heard God didn't need or use money, and Faith was free, so is grace for that matter.

and people wonder why I have issues with organized church stuff........

Right before my uncle started seeing Jesus, a Moonie asked him for a donation. He came back the next day with a check for like twelve hundred bucks. And that was in about '77. I'd forgotten about that. It's so funny that I'm the normal one. My family's really nuts.
