if I remeber correctly loads of people had swells boards from Lima...I tried to buy a board in Equador and was told my best bet was Lima.

there are two really good shapers in lima plus a selkection of used if you ask around. i got two from wayo whilar for $500.
the best shape for punta hermosa medium is a fun shape with a roundpin because the waves are crumbly and lack shape but are very fast. i would say a log is ideal, but it is super crowded and rocky inside. in fact this seven foot funshape has got me the rides of my life down here and all over peru now and is a great every day board.. the other seven footer is more of a gun shape and only goes great in moire perfect surf. it was great up north where the swell lines up and it is offshore all the time. im looking forward to many manby great barrels at el faro, as soon as i can get my act togehter and get up there again.
