Re: Troy
I've always wondered WHY they chose Burrows to play Hector's wife. Do you think it might have been because she is nearly as tall as he is and they would make a fine noble-looking couple for Troy?
And how Hector was ever able NOT to slap Paris's face off is beyond me.
Poor Hector. He was the only visionary and nobody would listen to a word he said.

Yeah, I do agree with you troyboy... our poor lad was the only sensible person in that city, wasn't he????? I mean... he was all the time taking care of his father, he really cared about his wife and son, he had to put up with his brother's stupidity...

Re: Troy
YES! YES! YES!!!!
They all looked to him for protection, but would NEVER listen to his advice. It made me frustrated just watching the movie!!!
And basically, he sacrificed himself. He KNEW what would happen in the end.

Q&A: Rediscovering Troy
By Gary Kemble. Posted: Tuesday, July 11 2006 .
If you think reading The Iliad and watching Eric Bana and Brad Pitt duking it out on the big screen tells the full story of Troy, think again.
How about Achilles against the backdrop of 1930s Germany, an encounter between an elderly literary critic and the first conscious artificial intelligence, Ajax, or the Trojan War set in the distant future, featuring a race of eight-foot-tall Greeks?
All of these visions of Troy, and more, feature in a collection of short stories that was originally slated for publication in 1998 but has only just made it into print.
Troy's journey from the first short story to eventual publication by independent publisher Ticonderoga is almost an epic in itself.
Articulate spoke to author Simon Brown and editor Russell B Farr.

Re: Troy
Read a pretty good book called "The War At Troy" by Lindsay Clarke.
Good story, no gods (I hate the cheesey "Gods" crap!! Less Gods & more HECTOR!!)
Mostly about Paris & Helen, but well written & entertaining (Oh & Sad!! Have tissues nearby towards the end.)!
