i think u pretty much bangged the nail on the head with that review jake.
as for it being your first bond movies you should try some other bond movies to see heres a list of what i recommend:
Golden Eye 5/5 (most likly one of or even the best bond movie I've seen)
A view to a kill 4.5/5
Moonraker 3.5/5
goldfinger 4/5
Man with the golden gun 4/5
Dr. No 3.5/5
Die another Day 4/5 (good action)
Octtapussy 3.5/5 ( A personel favorite)
