mod revival britannia
i was thinking today whilst my eldest flicked through the music channels(which i always dreed cos its channel after channel of pure crap)wouldnt it be great if the bbc done a documentary on mod revival they have done blues britannia and soul britannia stuff on motown and other such 60s related things usualy dominated by the beatles YAWN so what about a mod revival britannia anyone think it a good idea and should we bombard the bbc with emails to suggest such a programme,any views???

Didnt SOUL on Channel 4 .....Sounds Of Underground London do one of these on the mod revival with a cd to go with the series ??

Yup they sure did. I think I've still got it on video somewhere. Definately have the CD soundtrack.

Ah well it's all true. I got £500 for that too which is a good reason for remembering it!

my god i cant believe i missed such a programme but then again i was without a tv for a couple of years,was it an indepth look into mod revival bands or just 15 mins at the end of a soul programme, and a cd wot was on that? tried to google it but nothing realy came up,does anyone know if it is available to watch anywhere? because i would like to see it.

I didnt watch the mod revival one but it did also do one for original mods ...one for skins, acid jazz etc etc.
Was an hour long prog if I REMEMBER rightly !!
there is little on the web about it though for some reason ??

Nah it was half hour, Eddir Pillar wrote and narrated it and then they interviewed people from bands etc. Only trouble was, it had a sad ending, no one went on to become famous and now we're all poor 
The soundtrack CD, (which I have lurking around in a box in the garage somewhere), had all the usual suspects plus I think a few rarer songs by the likes of the Circles and so-on. I think it has about 20 tracks on it but also came with Ed's narrative in a little booklet, telling the story of the revival. Unfortunately, that had a sad ending too, no one became famous and now we're all poor!
