Mine weren't - they were right 'HIP' emoticon Partying at each others flats every weekend after a night out down the social club! I suppose I take after them in a 'socialising' sort of way.

My Grand Parents were the best. My Nan was quite outgoing but her husband was a bit of a neurotic and wouldn't allow them any friends or any socialising apart from a couple called Don and his missus. They used to see them about twice a year to play canasta and the bottle of Dubonet would come out on these occasions. I used to be fascinated by that when I was a kid because it was about 20 years old then and absolutely covered in dust like a bottle of vintage wine!

To be fair, my parents did go out once in a while but things like Masons meetings etc. In fact, my mother has still never, ever seen a single gig I've done. (That'd explain her excellent hearing then) emoticon

Talking of dusty dubonnet bottles... my nan & grandad had one of those bars in the corner of the sitting room... I used to love playing with that - they too had loads of 'dusty' bottles - all full too cos neither of them drank! Weird huh!

I do but feel like throwing it out of the nearest window because it fcuked up my Digi box last time I tried to record something off the telly... having sorted that little problem out now my DVD doesn't work through the telly emoticon

I've still got a VCR but it's also in the garage due to my wife's minimalist look in the front room. The CD player is in there too!

About 6 years ago, I was watching a treasured Video of mine and the VCR decided to chew it up so I pulled all the wires out, ran upstairs and chucked it out of a bedroom window. Strangely satisfying it was too. Tracie was in the kitchen and saw this thing come flying past the window. emoticon

I once took a golf club to a telly too while it was still plugged in which I wouldn't advise and talking of golf clubs, I decided to try and learn golf but smashed up a club in the middle of a course in Maidstone because I kept missing the ball!
