Re: PRO STREET !!!!!! WHO ARE YOU ?
This should get you a few of you guys going. There is only 2 pro STREET cars that i've seen on the street in the past few years. That would be Dean and Bob.The rest of you guys need to get out more.

I know Sheldon has about 11 tubbed cars over there, he has a bigger rear tire budget that most of us have invested in our cars...

Re: PRO STREET !!!!!! WHO ARE YOU ?
The first ?? it was a blue Vega SBC powered with a tunnel ram and two carbs.car was seen more then ones going mad up and down Kenmount road.Who was that now I wonder??Some say a little white pinto was the first but it was V8 and had a 9 inch in it but it still retained it stock wheelwells. So the first back half car was Brians Vega.
As for today and prostreet cars it seems to me that when you add big ass tires to the back of a carthen this cars are parked!!!So in lite of this lets talk about what prostreeters are out there but not used.I`ll throw one out there, how about a Yellow datsun 510 powered by a 350 LT1 engine that has I say 100 mile on it sence it was built!!Parked longer then Tony`s green prostreet Swinger!!!Now that is saying something.lol

Re: PRO STREET !!!!!! WHO ARE YOU ?
Uhh... Green ???? Must be getting colour blind with all that filler dust Fitz . Try yellow for that one unless Tony painted the car in the past 6 years.
If memory serves me correct, and I maybe wrong, but I think that Brian continued the trend with the Nova, then came Bob Lester's Javelin. John Best was building the Malibu at that time, as we all know as the first Barney, but it did not hit the streets until Bobby got his hands on it. Not too far beyond John having the Malibu was Nick's Mustang ( before the Mustang an honorable mention must go to the yellow Capri, although not tubbed was still a " pro " street car ). I think then came Noel Billard's Shelby Charger, Dave and John Whitten's Mustang, Dave Anthony's Camaro, and Gene Hanlon's Camaro. And if I am still correct, Dean Anthony got some street time in his former Chevy II. Geez, I almost forgot Frank Chafe's Vega ! Not quite sure on the time lines of these cars as my mind was a little fuzzy back then . It was though about that time that Argentia Dragway opened it's doors and most of the street cars were gone.
As for what has been back-halfed or chassied since and either finished or not ... wheew now there is a tall order to fill ! Who wants to start ?
Later,
Geoff
