My old man has a rebuilt SBC short block that he is willing to part with. New crank kit, pistons, rings, bearings etc...., the cam is stock but the block is 4 bolt. Make an offer. I know he is into it for around
$ 1000.

 JohnnyTurbo. That sounds like a good engine but the Pistons and cam are not much good to us. I`ll keep it in mind if I don`t find anything.Thanks

Curtis I am will to say that it is a great engine. Don`t know what the asking price is and yes we are doing this on the back yard budget.Not looking to go to crazy with this car just yet. he has alot of stuff he has to buy to make this a driver.So we have to keep a eye on the spending.

Bill that cam won`t fit the older 350 block I think. But thanks anyway.

Fitz, buy yourself a Comp Cam extreme energy 268 477\480 lift that's what i'm using in my car...

Get a set of topans off Jamie, same place i got mine any truck with center bolts in the topan will work...

I got the 906's with flatop pistons and from what the books say, i'm soppose to have around 10\1 compression...

Good luck with the build Fitz, post up some pics of the progress... emoticon
