Michael Moore's new film a winner at Cannes
Fahrenheit 911 has won awards at the Cannes film festival. At least 4 of the judges were Americans.
Unfortunately, the distributor is Disney, chaired by Michael Eisner, a Republican who does business in Florida where Jeb Bush is governor. Eisner has held up distribution of the film. This decision was made prior to the accolades at Cannes.
Now the decision appears even more outlandish. How can anyone justify withholding a film of such worldwide acclaim?
This is just how the USSR used to control politcs, by suppressing information. These same suppressors consider themselves patriotic; that's the irony!
Fortunately, it appears the rights to the film will be sold to a new distributor and hopefully Americans will get to see it before election day.
