Cypress Bay Annex
Ok, I’ll start this one out.
My oldest daughter (14) is starting High school at Cypress Bay annex. It seems nice enough but when I drove by I was appalled… who designed a facility with no ‘top?’ These kids must go from portable to portable, perhaps in the pouring rain, certainly in blazing heat, with no walkway roof?
It’s bad enough that the county’s politicians didn’t have the spine to force infrastructure prior to approving development, but they also didn’t have the foresight to demand some weather protection?

We can all agree the facility is not good, however, we KNOW this is the site for Middle School "NN" once the ninth grade is moved back to or nearer to Cypress Bay. We need the City of Weston to find a spot for a couple of years for this annex (Say..isn't the parcel at Vista Park open (where the ice skating rink was to be located????

Go to the Cypress Bay website and see the results of the vote on Capacity solutions. www.cypressbayhigh.com
There are going to be discussions about boundary issues this year as pasrt of the Capaity meetings. This is usually a quite emotional discussion, because if boundary's are changed, we could be relocated to a scholl much farther away. This affects home values and our childrens education. If you do not have kids, then think about who might purchase your home in the future and if the might have children.
