Re: Open?
The track is not officially open yet, but you are allowed to ride there. I have been working with the local authority to get the track open and race ready. Things have been slow as the money that comes in must be split between the track and the rest of the Louis Schiavo Park.
We are in the process of getting the start gate setup. Once the track is secured (ATV problems) we plan to sweep the track and spread clay. We are waiting for bid to get the start hill paved. The tower is scheduled to be built this weekend. This is a fast track will a lot of potential. We are looking for volunteers to help get the track up and running. Any help is greatly appreciated
This isn't the actual address, but the closest address I could come up with that would show the location of the track. 800 Poplar Street Hazleton Pa 18201. There are two entrances both with orange gates. They are usually locked, so you will have to ride up to the track from there.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Here are some pics, ENJOY

Re: Open?
Not to come down on you or anything, but I am just wondering why this is an NBL track in a predominately ABA area. I mean within an hours drive there are 3 ABA tracks and 4 more within a 2 hour drive.
Its like having an ABA track in Western PA, which was done, and didn;t survive.

Re: Open?
I am just happy that there is a BMX track in my town. It doesn't matter to me what organization it is run by, not that I had any say in it.
We had a work day today and we got so much accomplished. Thanks to all that showed up to help; Glen, Pat, Bea and the rest of the crew. The gate is in place, secured and and almost rideable. The track is completely swept and secured. The next step is to spread the clay and put up the tower. I will post up some more pics of the track once I get time to upload them.
FYI :
There are plans to have our first practice day on Sunday June 25th. I will post more about this when I get more info.
