Shadow on Wall (Unsure)
Earlier today my mother, brother and grandmother were all awake and sitting on our couch watching Ghost Hunters. Well my brother was talking to my mom about a game and she leaned over to see what he was looking at and me and my grandmother were sitting on the other couch watching the show.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something moving, I happened to look over and there was like a shadow of a person on our wall! It wasn't very clear, and if you know what I'm talking about it's like if you stand kinda far away from a wall while it is sunny out it might leave a shadow on the wall.
Well that's what it looked like it was a big shadow and it moved toward the couch I was sitting on I looked away for a split second to see if anybody arond was moving and when I looked back it was gone then I saw something moving on the wall the couch I was on out of the corner of my eye. It looked like a shadow moving toward me and of of what I could see of it, it looked like it went into the hallway behind me!
I don't know what it was if it was anything. Nothing was moving at the time and apparently I was the only one who saw it! I didn't say anything at that time and later I forgot about it untill about an hour or two ago. So since I was the only one who saw it that's why I don't know if it was anything. Everytime I ever saw anything ghost related other people saw it too so if this was something it was the first I ever saw only as myself.
If anyone has ever saw something like that before I would love to hear it. Or just post back to tell me what you think it was. It might have been the shadow of a car but it definitly looked like a person shadow standing up and walking!
Nobody here has done any recordings lately or tried to communicate with the ghosts or spirits so I don't know why they would show themselfs now unless they need to say something or if they were just passing through!
But I've heard that they have to manifest energy to talk or move stuff so wouldn't they need to do that to show themselfs? And if so why would they do it just to let someone see them when they might not even look over there to see them , like why would they waste energy unless they were sure someone was watching?

I don't know.. I believe they can absorb energy from almost everything.. since nearly everything gives off some kind of energy.
The one I saw on the farm, I believe was watching me.. when I caught notice of it.. it quickly walked away and seemed to dissappear..
Did you have an unusual feeling associated with the experience? Usually strange smells or uneasy feelings are reported with these type of sightings.

That is something that has always interested me, but I've personally never experienced. When Art Bell was on Coast To Coast he had some very good discussions on Shadow People, and had equally good images of them on his pages. I've not ever even come close to anything I could remotely pass off as seeing a shadow being.

Well, I didn't smell anything then, the only time I have smelled something that wasn't there was about a month ago I smelt a strong smell of hay. But it passed in about 10 seconds.
But today I saw something kinda like it but not really, it was going the exact direction but it just didn't look the same. It was lighter, you could hardly see it but it was kind of the same shape so I don't know if what I saw was anything or not!

i had that same expereince shell. i was at my girls house in port lavaca,tx. me ,my girl ,my son and her friend were talking in the back yard. and her brother was soon to arrive from school. the windows had that metal screen on it and when i looked up i saw a shadowy figure just sitting there i started waslking towards the door thinking it was her brother getting home and the shadow litterally took off like a bat out of hell. i thought her brother was racing off to hide something in his room. cause he is starting to get into that smoking stage. so i run to his room to catch him in the act and no one was there. i looked all over the house. so i figured out it was the deceased woman that used to live there. she sometimes visits and turns on the faucet.i called out to her to let her know i saw her.

Do you know if she was ever spotted again? Or, did they ever have a lot of activity there? I would try to do a small investigation if possible. You might be able to contact her.
I read something about the types of shadow people.. I used to think they were evil.. but now, I don't think so anymore. From what I've read, there is one type called the watchers.. they will watch people until they are spotted, then quickly flee.. I think that is what I saw.
He also wore a hat and what looked like a long overcoat, my kids saw the same thing where we live now. I wonder if it was the same one?

The original Art Bell website has so many neat Shadow People images on it, Some were simple & basic...some were down right spooky. I sure wish he would put that site up again.

That would be cool..Shadow people have facinated me since I was little, I think only because that's the only "paranormal sightings" I've ever had..

i believe spirits choose the shadow form because it does not take too much energy from them thus allowing them to be seen and move about.i think there are stages to manifestation. first you see the mist then the shadow gradually gets darker then you finally see his/her true form.most spirits who do not want to be seen do not manifest in to a form or dont want to be seen very well.

I agree.. but I also think they can only manifest to certain degree's depending on the energy that they absorb..
