Shadow Figure Spotted in the Hallway
I have a story I'd like to share with everyone.
One night my brother and I were messing around with a flashlight in our living room and we were turning the T.V. and the little flashlight on and off.
Well we turned them both off and was seeing how long we could last in the darkness and for some reason I looked into the hallway and I saw some type of figure and then my brother looked into the hall and saw it too, and even though it was dark the figure was even darker.
Then the figure moved from one side and walked into the other. Well, of course, we freaked out and ran to our mom's room. We were so scared.

I know how you feel! I once spotted one at an old farm house that once belonged to my father-n-law. After my father n law passed away, we moved into this house. We began hearing footsteps across the kitchen floor.. (Where he'd spent most of his time) I'd always say.. It was just Pa..
But then one day, after coming home from work, I was the only one at the farm, so I decided to take a walk out to the pond, and I put my headphones on and just was kind of "chilling out". I was standing near the pond, when I looked up and saw a black shadow figure.. with a hat, and what looked like a long overcoat type jacket, walk behind one of the posts near the barn. I quickly stood up.. and walked back towards the house, NEVER taking my eyes off of that post.. nothing ever walked beyond it. It was like this being just took two steps and vanished behind this post.
I knew there wasn't anyone else there, I went into the house, and kept staring towards the barn.. I had such an awful afraid feeling..
I couldn't take it anymore, and I grabbed my keys and left. I didn't go back till I knew someone else would be there. Needless to say, I never really spent many moments there alone again.
I don't know what this figure was, but there is no doubt in my mind that I saw it.. It was black as black could be. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon, and I knew my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. I've never seen it again.

My little sister and i have seen the "shadow in the hallway" several times when we were growing up. My moms house has so much going on that is paranormal ALL the time! To this day there are things that happen, that is where i got most of my experinces!
Anyway back to the shadow ppl.....
It would only happen when we were both in our room (we shared a room until I moved out). We would be doing homework or what ever the heck we did all the time, andit was kinda weird that it was never dark out side when we would see them! It was always before sunset. When one of us would see it we would tell the other and then we would sit on our bed and watch it. It would go down the hall way and vanish. It would go back the other way and vanish again! Sometimes it would go the same way over and over again! It freaked us out the first couple of times, but after that it kinda got fun to watch and count how many times it would come and go. It was a tall BLACK shadow and it went fast sometimes and other times it would "walk" slow. SO FREAKY! but when i ask my sister if she still sees it (she still lives w/ my mom and in the same room) she will reply with the number of times it went up and down the hallway. ( the last time it was 23!)
And of course when we would try to take a picture of it we would get a completly WHITE screen, like we took a picture of a bright light and the shadow would stop appearing for months, i guess you can say he was very camera shy!

Hmm.. from your other post about having an eerie feeling in your mom's closet, I would guess that it is related to this entity. I would have to say that there is some kind of presence in your mom's house.
Has it ever given any indication that it is trying to NOT be seen.. like does it quickly scatter as soon as you see it? Or does it seem like it is trying to be noticed by you, and trying to get your attention?
Has your mother ever noticed anything? Could this be someone that is attached to her?.. I used to believe that shadow people were evil.. (but I don't think that anymore) I think they just don't have the energy to fully manifest themselves into a full bodied apparition.
Well.. I can't say that is true about all of them.. the one I saw when I was little was definatley NOT friendly.. but the one I noticed on my father-n-laws farm resembled to what my kids saw in our house.. and it quickly scattered as soon as it was spotted.. (could be a family member, as it was so similar) but that is just guessing..
I think it's interesting that you and your sister both saw it.. (as did both of my kids at the same time). Does your sister also experience the same feelings about your mom's closet?
If it were me, I'd probably run through the house taking tons of photos, and doing EVP recordings.. hehehe.. maybe one of these days you could actually capture something.. that would be very interesting!

Shell really brought up some good ideas.
I think the entire shadow being phenomenon is just so amazing and interesting. I wish Art Bell had kept his web site up, he had many sketches of these beings. Some looked friendle...some quite the opposite, but all were unusual.
I download them once for the original Night Sky, I wish I would have kept them. I was stupid huh?

I believe that the shadow has nothing to do with the evil feeling that i get from my moms closet. First of all i dont get any kind of feeling from it. No bad feelings, im not even scared of it. I think it doesnt mind that it gets seen because it will keep coming and going no matter who is watching. (my niece has seen it) I just know it doesnt like cameras.
My moms house........its a hot spot for the paranormal!!
One time my mom was home alone and when she came out of her bedroom to go to the bathroom she seen a HUGE man in the living room hunched over just looking at her. She thought someone was in the house so she proceeded to investigate. When she got to the kitchen she could see the reflection of the fish tanks' light in the mans eyes. When she turned the corner he was gone and there was NO time for him to turn and run 20 feet to the door, unlock the door, and leave!! My mom was so freaked out she slept w/ her gun under her pillow!!
Thats only one of her many stories, not to mention all of my sisters, stepdads, brothers, and guests' stories of what has happened to them!! her house is freaky!!!!!
sorry guys i should have put that story under a diffrent catagory! Oh well im not going to re type it!! LOL!
