My Story
I have had odd things experiences for as long as I can remember. I have seen ghosts, had premonitions of things that have later come true and have learned to trust my gut feelings.
Mostly I have seen the ghosts. It is nothing like you see in the movies, it’s not like I have a conversations with them. Most of the time they don’t see me, I just see them. Maybe seeing is the wrong word, I see them, but at the same time I feel them. Feel their emotion or whatever that may be at the time. It can be anger, and in some instances it has been terrible.
Like the lady I saw in the antique store standing in front of a mirrored dressing table. She was just standing there looking at herself and at first she was just very sad, but she did see me, and she became so angry. It was almost like she came at me with such hate, such anger. I fled the store and refused to return.
When vacationing in San Francisco with my family we stayed at the Argonaut Hotel. After we checked into our room I decided to run out and grab some ice and left the room on my own with the ice bucket. I came around the corner and there was a little boy standing there in knickers and a white shirt. He was so sad, so alone. I only say him for a few moments but I won’t forget his face.
There is even a ghost I see in my home town on several occasions. He sits in a police car that is parked in front of a house. I don’t know if he belongs to the car, or is related to the people that live there but I have seen him on several occasions. He is sitting in the drivers seat and is very determined. That is all I get from him, just “doing his job”
I never see them in the places you would expect to see a ghost. We were at Arlington Cemetery not too long ago and I didn’t see a thing. But in a grocery store, or mall; well there they are.
When I was a child, they use to lie down next to me on top of the covers. I would be laying there and feel the covers go tight next to my body. At first it use to terrify me, but I learned that if I asked them to go away they would.
I don’t share many of these things with anyone, not even my husband. I am always afraid that I will be seen as crazy, or over dramatic, or hysterical. This is not something that you bring up in polite conversation with friends. “Oh by the way, do you know that I see ghosts?” Thanks for letting me share here, it feels safe being annoymous here.

Re: My Story
Hello, and welcome...I am happy that you chose to share with us. I understand how it is to try and talk about the feelings you have when you experience "unusual" things. Especially with those closest to you. I can't say I've had as many experiences as you have had. But the few, have left a huge impression on me.
I used to think that spirits wandered through cemeteries.. but no longer believe that. I think it makes more sense to hang around the places they were familiar with. Which coincides with what you experienced.
I am wondering.. if you always see them, do they ever appear as solid as we are? Do you ever confuse them with the living? The reason I ask, a friend of mine was at a festival a few years ago.. and her and her daughter were walking through the "crowd", she kept bobbing and weaving her way through, and her daughter asked her what she was doing. She told her, "trying to get around everyone", when come to find out, there was hardly anyone there. It was the first time she experienced them.. (she got a bump on the head, and ever since.. she see's them everywhere).
It was hard for her to distinguish them at first. Would like to know your thoughts on this.
Great story by the way!
