The Vaticans Statement
What are your thoughts on the Vaticans statement, about it's okay to believe in alien life? I think it's very cool, and it's also about time. It may open up a few doors. Like...it's cool with the Vatican...why isn't it cool with our government?

We were talking about that at work, wondering why they did it? Do they know things we should? It casts a different light on pretty much everyones views, like creationism in general. I do think it's a positive thing they did. And I think it was done in good faith.

I read a little about it, and really do think it is a step in the right direction. I feel that science and religion can coincide together as one.. and eventually science can, and will explain many religious beliefs.. which I feel should be from a factual/historical view.. not by what other's belive "might" have happend.
I don't know if they know something we don't.. but saying we accept an extra-terrestrial species as our brothers.. like we accept every creature on earth is a wonderful statement. It shows that science and "some" religious views are not limited.
I believe everything in the universe is united in some way. If we are all part of the same genetic make-up, it would only make sense to think that we are similar to other speices if they do in fact exist..
Just because we have never reached the far depths of space, doesn't mean there isn't someone, or something else out there, and speculating that we are the only ones, is absurd.
I'm glad that they have come forward to make this point.. I like you, hope our government can do the same one day.

Thinking, as our government does, that we are the one and only is way worse than absurd, it makes us look like we are dumber than a big box of rocks.
In the news letter I got from the Black Vault it had mention of Frances released files, and going deeper, other countries. Kudos to them. If the USA ever releases anything, it's so full of black magic marker it's a joke, why release something in the first place. They could at least re-write it, I'm sure they have old typewriters and the like that would give the effect of it being original. That wouldn't insult our intellegence quite as much.
Hey, I also got the Paratracker News Letter, I liked that...Good Job Shell.

I agree with you there.. they sure don't want to let out too much information, and the blacked out documents only make it look more suspicious..
As for the newsletter.. thanks! But, I can't take credit for it.. on the wiki, wetpaint always sends out a weekly newsletter for all the wiki websites they have.. it's a pretty cool feature isn't it??

A very cool feature. I noticed 3 different Wiki's in my control panel. I went there trying to block this one IP address from Tempe AZ ( You get it too? ) And figured I'd look around...there is really quite a few different things available there, Not that I understand all of them.

Tempe Arizona? Haven't noticed that one.. I have several from Reston, Virginia..?? Not quite sure who it is..
I have been to other wiki's too.. some of them are really put together well.. I'd have to say, that I really like it better than the other one's we've tried..

Reston is AOL/AOL search. The Tempe one is some funky web crawl of some company who creates like online videos...things like that. I keep blocking their IP, but they keep coming up with new ones, Next time they show up I'll forward along what I know of them. Something just strikes me funny about them.
