Phoenix Lights
I watched a tv show on this the other night, I remember when it happend, and it just got me thinking.. was the investigation ever picked back up?
I know the media, as well as the government made a big joke about the whole thing. I've heard several explanations about it.
In case you are not familiar..I believe it was in August 1997, when lights began appearing over the city of Phoenix, AZ. Several witnesses, actually seen a "flying craft" before the mysterious lights began appearing over the mountain ranges.
I will try to do a little bit of research on this, I am quite facinated by the footage that was captured. I will post any other information that I find..

I don't know i think it is EXTREMELY strange how the lighs just came on and it was in the perfect shape people say U.F.O.'s are in. And as many people as there were that spotted it that's wierd, and if it was car headlight's why would military or government people go look at it????

I have friends in Phoenix, they say the entire thing is getting turned into something like the 2nd coming of Christ. ( Which I think is bunk ) But these 2 guys are pretty much up on things, one has been on TV a couple times locally ( In Phoenix ) for his thoughts / Ideas.

i was there at the time. it was march of 97 not august if i remember correctly. unfortunately for me i didnt see it. i was inside at the time. i think it was around 9:30 or so in the evening.
to say several witnesses is a huge understatement. there were thousands of people who saw it as it floated soundless over the whole valley. luke airforce base scrambled jets up after it. they later claimed that the lights were military flares from some sort of training exercise. everyone knew that was untrue.
the governor [fife symington{sp}] did come out in the media and make fun of the whole event. they totally downplayed the whole thing.
this past march, now ex-gov symington on the 10 year anniversary did come out publically and admit that it was something other than what they said, and he admitted that he had no idea what it really was. they set up the cover story so they didnt alarm the public....

That's what sucks...Having a back-up cover story for the cover story. I think politicians ( Government in General ) Would be more widely accepted, If they could just come clean and fess up/be honest with what they know. Why hide it...just makes them look all the more sneaky/untrustworthy. I'm so tired of getting lip service.
The date was March 13, 1997. That's what I have on The Night Sky anyway.

Thanks for clearing up the dates.. (I'm not sure where I got that.. ) But, I agree, I don't understand why they cover all of this stuff up.. but, I do believe it is only a matter of time, that they won't be able to... then what are they gonna do?

To me, they are covering up so much stuff I can't figure out how the Government knows what is fact or fiction anymore, If they even do. I could somewhat go along with maybe a little cover-up. You know, to protect national security or something, but they are going way overboard. I guess it's like killing the goose that laid the golden egg.
I thought we were all raised better than this, certainly says a bit about their scrouples eh?
