Still waiting, I filled out their report.
Anyway...Here's another little tidbit. Thursday night a friend & his friend were on the beach of Lake Ontario about 1:00 am, It was a quiet night Thursday , clear and no wind and about 60*, no waves...almost perfectly flat water. There was only one boat about 200 yards out, nothing else was within the horizon. Out of the corner of their eye they both noticed a flash, no sound or bang just a good sized flash, neither thought much of it..they kept watching the stars. 4 or 5 minutes later out of almost no where the waves kicked up...to about 2 feet, then after a couple minutes went back to calm & placid. What ya think??? A meteor?? There were no plane crashes reported. Maybe a UFO or a USO, they friend was 100% sincere in his story, I can tell when someone is trying to pull one over, he wasn't.

I have done a little searching on this too, to see if anyone else has commented on seeing something similar. I found out that New York.. actually New York City, was a major hot spot.. (that's something I was unaware of..) Maybe they are spreading out to your area?? Thanks for the update.. hopefully someone else will come forward..
As for your friend.. the only thing I can think of on the flash could be heat lightning.. we noticed it alot more up north than here, but that's something that is pretty familiar, and they would probably be able to identify that pretty easily. It does sound a bit odd with the flash and then the waves coming in like that.. it could just be a coincidence, but what could be the cause for it? Let me know if you hear any more on that as well..

We're a hot spot...for more than corrupt politicians? That I didn't know...but interesting.
The thing about the waves that got my interest, was that they died right back to nothing, Sort of like dropping a rock in a bucket. I too considered lightning..maybe from a distant storm, but there was nothing at all near. I think I'f I'm right we can only see 14 miles..then the horizon/curve of the earth makes it so we can see no farther, I think I got that right, So it would have to be a near by storm.

It does sound very unusual. USO's are something I have just learned about over the last few years., and I just thought it was something kind of random, like ufo sightings.. (which even seems to be increasing in recent years), But now I'm beginning to think that they have been around for a very long time, and could possibly be everywhere.. Christopher Columbus spotted what they believe to be USO's.. that kind of blows me away..

I too think USO's are very interesting. I've wanted to put more on my site about them, but it's tough to find really well documented stories on them. Shag Harbor was a good one, but try finding info on the one in California, Catalina Island...it's tough. I read about Christopher Columbus's USO, the even have a good image of it, there are others too...even earlier.

Didn't UFO Hunters do a show on Catalina Island? You would think there would be plenty of information online about it..
Do yo think that USO's and the Bermuda Triangle go hand in hand?

Yes, they did and it was very interesting, but afterwards I tried googling, and really didn't find very much. A few drawings & sketches...but really not much at all, which surprised me.
I do think USO's are connected to The Bermuda Triangle, Way much more so than a hydrogen bubble ( Which would have to be 50 miles in diameter to sink a ship in my mind ) There are a few places I think are very connected with USO's...I believe the North & South Poles are more active then we are informed on too.

That's a pretty good point.. I never really thought much about the poles. That would be the best hiding places I would think.. not many to tell the story!
