Abduction Similarities
I have just started reading a book called "Secret Life - firsthand accounts of UFO abductions" by David Jacobs..
I borrowed it from the library last weekend and have nearly finished it already.. it's pretty interesting.
David Jacobs is pretty well known in the UFO community.. he has interviewed hundreds of ufo abductees and has found that there is one similar detail that most abduction cases do not disclose, (whether they have just not noticed it.. or thought it to be nothing in particular is not quite known)
But, he has found through all of his research that the aliens seem to stare into the abductee's eyes.. giving them feelings of calmness and tranquility as they are being "probed" they also use this to relax the abductee into a submissive state.
Most all have claimed that the one doing the staring is the "taller" alien.. the one who they believe is in charge..
Anyway.. I thought that was interesting, and wanted to share that with you. If you get a chance, it is a really good book.. (I even had a dream last night that I was being abducted.. hehehe.. shouldn't read it before bed!)

You're right, it probably wasn't good bed time reading. I've heard of him often...D. Jacobs, an interesting person. I knew that in abductions there are more than one type / species of alien present but I didn't ever come across the penetrating eye thing or hypnosis. It would be very possible and believeable though.
There was 1 movie out, I can't remember it, but in the movie that technique was used foe calming or submission.

Yeah.. really good book.. and I could see how it would be a possible technique since they are supposed to be mainly telepathic.. the book says that abductee's feel that aliens are more fragile than humans, and human strength seems to make them nervous.. that is probably why they use it.
Kind of changes my thoughts on what their purpose with us really is. They say that they use manupulation through imagery to provoke "feelings" within us and then stare to obsorb what we are feeling... maybe to gain some kind of knowledge on a way to defeat us??
That's a creepy thought...

I'm still fighting over that one..if they want to help us, or eat us. The question isn't whether or not they exist, it's when they will make themselves public. If we really even want that.

I'm kind of with you on that one now.. well, except for the eating part.. lol.. supposidly they believe that aliens absorb what they need through their skin.. eeewww....

Okay...there are smoking patches, snoring patches...ya think they have human patches? Just a thought.
I could agree with that theory though, from most pictures...there isn't much of a mouth, which would explain why they comminicate via telepathy.
I've been trying to find recent stories about abductions, but most of what I've found seems pretty tacky, So I don't post them.
I think you have done better than I with the more recent things.
I'm finding it hard to find new older stories too but I'll find something soon. Had 182 hits yesterday, an all time record for The Night Sky.

Congrats!! We've not got that far yet.. but there has been in increase and more page views.. people seem to be sticking around a little bit more... and coming back.. 
It's hard to find recent stories.. most of them are like you said.. a way bit far fetched.. it's hard to believe some of them, and I kind of stray away from them too. Some are so unbelievable, that you can't help but add it... lol..

I do too, I'm thinking of going to the beta format, just hate putting it on all my pages, According to Google it's more than I think I have, According to Stat Counter It's less than 100. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Googles web master tools shows me what Google sees and how it handles things, Something Stat Counter can't do, yet at least.
