i was there in the early 2000s. woke up in the middle of the night. terrified....for no reason. no noise, no sounds, nothing. just a sense of something otherworldly....

Re: sedona vortex
This one I can't touch, I know about vortices but it ends there. I've never had any experience with them.

Re: sedona vortex
Some people believe that a vortex is where ley lines reside.. where the earths magnetic fields cross..
Some think that these areas will make people sick, and if these areas cross beneath a home, it will make the home feel uncomforable. Babies have been known to retreat to one area of their crib, if a leyline is near it..
But.. I've also read.. that a cat will lay right in the middle of a vortex (center of the ley line).
There are different energies inside vortexes, they can either be postive or negative. There are many ideas about vortexes.. but, one thing is the same throughout.
All believe that they hold some great power, some of the Native American Indians would not cross them, like the Oregon Vortex. But, some would use them for ceremonies, and some ancient people built their sanctuary establishments near them.
Some have been used for tourist attractions. I remember one in Kentucky, and another in Michigan. The one in Michigan I went to several times as a child, and I could actually "feel" the energies.
Here's a few links.. http://www.leylijnen.com/leylines.htm

Re: sedona vortex
my experience was so strange. one second i was in a deep sleep, the next, i was wide awake and frozen solid w/ fear. i didnt hear anything, i didnt see anything, no smells, nothing. i simply woke up suddenly, completely terrified for no apparent reason. believe me, if you knew me, i dont wake up very easy, im a very sound sleeper.
i laid there in bed on my back, which was the position i was already in, just scanning the dark room with my eyes only. something told me not to move a muscle. my gf was next to me and never woke up or noticed anything. i asked her about it the next morning and she didnt know anything weird happened. i probably laid there for a halfhour or so before i finally allowed myself to fall back to sleep.

Re: sedona vortex
Geeze.. sounds like a strange experience. Were you on vacation? I'm asking because I'm curious if you slept in the same area for more than one night.. was this the only time you experienced this?
I wish I could remember, I read a lot about this a few months ago, (before my other PC crashed).. I had so many sites bookmarked.. you might be interested in a few.. I'll see if I can do some searches tomorrow and find some of them again..

Re: sedona vortex
Whoaaaa, That is an experience. I can't honestly ever remember being scared / frightened of much. ( Except for getting to work, wondering if I still have a job. The same thing everyone there worries about. )
Wish I were a sound sleeper, Don't take much to wake me up. But then again, I think that comes with age. I've heard that once you get older ( Looking in Mirror ) You need less sleep.
Great story though MM

Re: sedona vortex
I can't say I'd blame you.. I don't think I would have either..
From what I've read, a vortex can produce many strange feelings.. some people who are sensitive to these energies are actually more affected than others.
Some are used as a place of meditation and healing ceremonies. I'm not sure what exactly defines the different vortexes as postive or negative. I've read that Arizona is full of different vortexes.. maybe that is why so many UFO's are spotted there??
