The Mystery Of Oak Island
Here's another to keep you guessing. It's also called The Money Pit
it deals with the tales of pirates buried treasure, but this one has to really be deep. They've dug down 190' and still come upon obstacles. Check it out.

Wow.. never heard of this one either... would make for a really cool documentary! 
I read through the timeline, as well as the stone translation page.. the symbols are very strange, but I guess they are basic enough to just be something like a code. Pretty weird anyway.. there must be something very valuable down there.

You would think if someone buried something that far, It would have to be something of extreme importance to go to those lengths to hide it.. That's a good point that it could be something harmful, but would they make markers in between the layers? If I buried something that far down that was bad, I wouldn't want anyone else to ever find it..

I think that depends on who buried it. If they had bad intentions, they would want to make it more interesting. If they were good people, if people at all, they would make it less enticing.
