a telescope.. that is a good idea..  There is a hill I can sit on near there.. I've thought about taking my recorder and just sitting over there at night, and see what I get..
I really don't know how to research it.. I'm sure the public library would probably have some kind of records in there.. I will have to go up there one day, and just see if I can find anything..

I'll bet the library would surprise you in what they have, possibly even the count building...or whatever they have. Probably could do wonders trying online...Maybe a start at least?

I don't know where to go to look online.. (I have tried that) aside from having to pay for searches, and on genealogy sites, I am at a loss?? I've even done a public record search.. (Which I found out, most everything in public records is for a fee.) Got any suggestions?

If I can't find a direction, I'll ask my sister. She's really great in that area.Geneology as well as land title/abstracts. There are some places that offer help, but you're right, most charge a fee and do it for you. That wouldn't be my choice. I'd love to have access to their sources of information.

I would too.. I don't mind doing the searches.. I just think it's crazy that they charge you for the smallest amount of information.. and whose to say that's exactly what you were looking for..
That would be good info to have. I've tried doing searches on land before.. houses.. etc.. really hard to find out anything. I'd love to research the house that I grew up in.. I only found very little on that too.

Once I get finished with this Shopping Cart I'll see what I can come up with to help you. I think I have it done but can't upload it yet. The place it once was parked is giving us fits ( dragging it's feet ) on releasing it.
So we can't use the new host until the old host releases it, been almost 6 weeks now. We are at step 3 of 4, waiting for their final release.

Why on earth are they taking so long? I know you've had the same problem from them for a while now..
Is there some kind of time frame that they've given you, or do you just have to wait until they're good and ready? They must really expect you to be patient.. if I was running a business online, I would be pretty antsy by now..

We're past antsy. The guy who hosts the site presently is just dragging his feet. I don't know...I guess just to show he's in control.
Hopefully this week it will be transfered. Once that's done, it might take a day. Less if it's done on the week-end, and I can work on it until it's done.

It's got me busy now, Originally I figured I could copy the original site to a hard drive ( along with it's data base ) That's what the docs say. But it isn't doing what it's supposed to. I'll have it up and running by Monday though.
