Re: Fireflies???

maybe you can find out the history of that cemetary and see what all has happend there.never know maybe there are some people from the millitary up there and are just patrolling the area. heh. its just the pattern in wich people have described the lights. they move up and down the hill and move around in the cemetary.they could very well be protectors or just reliving a part of life that was once there.in gettysburg people report seeing soldiers moving about on the field where the battle took place. those people could very well be reliving the battle.i think it is possible considering there are people now who relive there past.i have a friend who relives parts of the iraq war time to time and it is pretty intense.he switches into zombie mode and salutes and everything. you can act like his sgt. and he will reply to you as if you were.i ohnestly believe that this could be the part of why spirits relive certain events. our soul is the real brain. it is what stores thought and intelligence. our physical brain just allows us to recieve info from our soul and then the brain relays that information allowing us to function.without our brain we would not be able to function in the physical world.but when we die off it is our soul that stores the knowledge and thouht wich allows spirits to be enteractive intelligent and so forth.

I agree with what you are saying. Although the cemetery is located in a very remote, hard to get to area. Some friends of ours were born and raised around that area. It is a family cemetery that is completely covered in woods. It is really overgrown, and I don't think many of the original family members are alive anymore.

The cemetery itself is really hard to get to, it is up on a hill and the original path has been long gone. It is off on a dead end, old dirt road, and is almost impossible to find. Because our friends grew up there, that is the only reason we actually found it.

They have stories about how you can hear and see things there in the middle of the night.. one of them has a son that tried to hang out there one night with a buddy, and got so freaked out that he quickly scattered. It has a lot of "ghost stories" that surround it. But I've never seen anything quite like the "orbs" that we saw up there..

They looked almost like fireflies.. but they were curious about us being there.. they seemed to surround us, and that's not typical of bugs.. so, yeah.. I do think they were spirits.

I also didn't feel threatend by it.. more surprised than anything, and there weren't just a couple.. more like dozens of little lights.. just flowing.. kind of like fireflies.

The one we saw as we drove off was located farther away on the dirt road.. in front of our car.. at first we thought it was a porch light, but there really wasn't any houses that close. Like I said, it is in a very remote area.. and most all of the land is covered in woods. It also seemed to be whiter.. where as the other one's had a pale yellow glow.. but not as yellow as a firefly.

When the weather gets a little warmer, we'll have to try to capture it on video.. but, you could only see them in total darkness.. might be hard to get on video.

heh night vision capability would be swell during that time heh.im sure if you save up for one you would get so much great stuff. might even capture something in your house.i wish i lived up there where you are. that cemetary seems very interesting and i would definately sit up there for hours to catch some good video and evp.just thought of something. next time you decide to go up there leave a recorder on the hill near the cemetary. you might actuially catch them.most of the evp's i got in san marcos were captured by leaving my recorder after class.most spirits that dont want to contact you will not speak while they know your recording.but when you leave a recorder up there and they do not know the place comes alive.just an suggestion on your next visit.just go up there set the recorder then drive off. then come back an hour later

Good idea.. there used to be a house about a mile from the cemetery that was known to be haunted. After the man died, he was buried in that cemetery.. the story goes that he killed his wife, then himself.. (don't know how true that is..)

But, it was said if you left a recorder at that house.. you could hear footsteps walking down the stairway.. hear voices.. etc.. then the house caught fire, and it is no longer there.. but we did take a walk around the property, and it really had an eerie feel to it...
